A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice, with offices throughout the US, focuses on serving the middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged A&M to help improve operating results at their portfolio companies.

A&M's Operations professionals assist our clients in analyzing manufacturing operations, supply chain and distribution channels, procurement, SG&A operations, and sales force effectiveness for potential value creation opportunities and help drive them during our client's ownership. From our thorough fact-based analysis, we assess the state of operations, identify key risks to investment and quantify potential EBITDA improvement plans for the buyer and seller.

How You Will Contribute
We are seeking individuals that can lead and deliver large, complex client engagements, working closely with PE leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for their portfolio companies. Directors frequently lead the following types of engagements:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of a target's manufacturing and distribution operations-- organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing and team capability
Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilities
Review current and historical data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts and detailed production numbers
Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing all available data
Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities
Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify key risks and mitigation strategies
Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
Qualifications:
10-15 plus years of combined professional industry and consulting experience, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in manufacturing and/or distribution functions
Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy REQUIRED
Experience working for or with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies. Deep functional expertise in one of more of the following areas:
Supply Chain Operations
Manufacturing Operations, SI&OP
Footprint optimization, plant consolidation and product line transfer
Manufacturing strategy, CapEx planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT
Lean, Six Sigma, TOC and Value Engineering
Demonstrated track record working with C-suite executives as well as private equity deal and operating partners
Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis
Specific experience designing and leading the execution of internally-focused and externally-focused change/communications strategy.

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund's Thurgood Marshall Institute (TMI) seeks a dynamic, interdisciplinary leader to serve as its Deputy Director. This senior position will provide high‑level operational, strategic, and supervisory leadership across TMI's archival, library, and research functions. We are seeking an experienced civil rights strategist and scholar by training, and a strong manager with an advanced terminal degree (Ph.D. preferred, J.D., and/or MLIS) who is committed to social science research and archival preservation. Qualification

This newly created role is designed to centralize, modernize, and scale statewide logistics operations supporting 20+ branch locations across Georgia. Responsibilities:
The Traffic Control Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role, reporting to the DVP, with full profit and loss responsibility for assigned branches. The Traffic Control Operations Manager ensures branch operations adhere to company safety standards, deliver exceptional customer service, drive profitability, and align with the company's strategic growth goals. The Traffic Control Operations Manager will oversee 3-5 branch locations, managing Branch, Operations, and Project Managers, and will travel frequently to ensure successful branch performance.
Safety Leadership:
Ensure branches follow company safety standards and continuously improve worker injury and motor vehicle accident rates.
Implement safety programs and ensure all locations participate in creating a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and the public.
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and address any concerns through training and follow-up actions.
Collaborate with safety managers and branch teams to drive a safety-first culture.
Customer Service Excellence: Lead branch teams through clear communication and collaboration to achieve location goals and customer satisfaction.
Build strong relationships with customers through regular contact, site visits, and proactive responses to their needs.
Develop systems to measure and improve customer service, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
Identify market opportunities and manage Regional Account Managers to grow market share and build long-term client relationships.
Driving Profitability: Oversee branch financials, guiding teams on sales and cost decisions to boost district profit and operational efficiency.
Implement and monitor programs to control branch costs while maximizing returns on invested capital (RONA).
Utilize KPIs to track performance and foster a culture of accountability.
Achieve EBITA goals by managing assets, reducing costs, and optimizing operations.
Leadership and Collaboration: Foster a team-oriented, collaborative, and inclusive culture across branches.
Set a high standard of ethics and integrity, leading by example and promoting company values.
Mentor branch leaders, teaching them to optimize their operations and achieve consistent performance.
Location: Philadelphia, PA or Columbus, OH
50-60% travel required

Qualifications:
Proven experience in managing multi-site operations, driving safety compliance, and improving profitability.
