Job Title: Paralegal Job Summary The Paralegal primarily focuses on preparing standard legal documents, assisting with discovery responses, and supporting attorneys with administrative and procedural tasks. Legal experience is helpful but not required. Essential Duties Prepare and organize legal documents, including discovery pleadings, affidavits, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence. Assist with discovery responses, compile exhibits, and support trial or hearing preparation. Compile and organize exhibits for trials or hearings. Assist attorneys with e-filing, compiling courtesy copies and maintain accurate records in the firm's document management system. Track deadlines, monitor case progress, and manage discovery schedules. Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings to assist attorney in case preparation. Provide general administrative and procedural support to attorneys as needed. Education and Experience Experience in collections, creditors' rights, or other legal work is a plus. ABA-approved paralegal certification or associate degree in paralegal studies is a plus. Familiarity with statues, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and agency rules is helpful but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with WordPerfect is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
