Leadership in Innovation – Management, Investment, Commercialization

__________________________________________________

One of my main traits has always been curiosity - the urge to find, study and understand new things. This passion has driven my career as a scientist, research manager, innovation manager and director of science & technology.

I have evaluated thousands of inventions and assessed hundreds of cutting edge technologies. My primary focus is on the Life Sciences but I am also very comfortable discussing other areas such as nanotechnology, smart materials, robotics or digital health.

While science and technology are my passion I have a keen interest in the business side of innovation: how can new inventions be translated into commercially valuable assets? This is a key aspect of my innovation strategy and investment style. Consequently, I have done business/competitive intelligence research on early stage companies and markets, in addition to technical analyses. My professional experience also covers Intellectual Property, portfolio management, alliance management, commercialization and licensing.

I have acquired deep knowledge in diverse areas such as biotechnology, molecular biology, medical devices, molecular diagnostics, telemedicine and regenerative medicine. At the same time I worked with experienced venture capitalists and investment professionals who taught me processes and techniques.

Going forward, I will apply my knowledge and experience to help companies achieve their full potential. This could be a start-up trying to enter the market, or an established company that needs new technology to feed their pipeline.

Expertise:

Open Innovation | Innovation Strategy | Early Stage Investments | Technology Scouting | Intellectual Property | Portfolio Management | Technology Transfer | Molecular Diagnostics | Molecular Biology | Regenerative Medicine | Biotechnology | Patent Commercialization | Due Diligence | Medical Devices | Licensing
