After Indonesia gained its independence in 1950, Landbouw-wetenschappen became the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Indonesia, with three departments — Socio-Economics, Physical Sciences, and Forestry.

The first accreditation obtained by the Nutrition Science study program was accreditation by BAN-PT which received an A accreditation in 2012.
And until January 2016, IPB has graduated 133,778 students.
Then, in 2016 along with the implementation of the evidence-based learning (EBL) system, the Undergraduate Nutrition Science Study Program only accepted high school graduates and did not accept student assignments.
In 2017, the organizational structure at FKM underwent a revision where the Undergraduate Nutrition Science Study Program became under the Department of Nutrition.
