Responsibilities * Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care, ensuring a positive experience throughout the diagnostic imaging process. * Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a variety of specialties (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts) using sound judgment, proper scanning techniques, and accurate anatomical measurements to support clinical diagnosis. * Collaborate closely with Radiologists and interpreting physicians by providing high-quality images and relevant clinical information to aid in timely and accurate interpretation. * Assist Radiologists and physicians with ultrasound-guided invasive procedures, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety throughout. * Safely transport patients to and from the Imaging Department, prioritizing patient comfort and adhering to transport protocols. * Routinely inspect, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance; report malfunctions promptly to biomedical engineering and department leadership * Participate in ongoing quality assurance and quality control initiatives to maintain accreditation standards and improve patient outcomes. * Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations as required, providing emergency diagnostic imaging services. * Follow proper infection control protocols and safety procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous and infectious materials. * Efficiently utilize the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) and radiology information systems (RIS/PACS) for scheduling, image archiving, and reporting. * Review clinical histories, prior imaging, and relevant test results to determine appropriate imaging protocols and ensure comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
