As a Route Sales Representative, you drive a FritoLay truck to different stores, work independently to unload orders, merchandise product, and partner with store managers to increase sales, order, and maintain records throughout the day. Although you will start out as a Route Sales Representative for FritoLay, we are investing in helping you grow with us. This job can open the door to career opportunities with us or our parent company, PepsiCo. In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing: Learn the basics of the role in four to six weeks of dedicated driving and selling training with our amazing team members Run routes for team members', experience different stores, and meet new customers Grow sales on the route by building relationships, selling in displays, and completing national initiatives Attain a route with set days off/schedule with time Work in a fun, fast paced, and physical environment We operate 24 hours a day, so you may not have a typical schedule! Primary Job Functions This is not an exhaustive list and employees in these classifications frequently may be required to perform additional duties. Not all classifications will be required to perform all job functions. * Unloads incoming material from carrier's vehicle. * Visually inspects parcels for damage and notifies Quality Control if any damage is noticed. * Verifies quantity of material received against shipping papers by counting or weighing or measuring and posts data to cards, charts, and forms. * Operates forklift truck, pallet truck, mobile handling fixture, and overhead crane, to move and store materials. * Maintains area in a neat and orderly manner and reports work hazards. * Stocks/replenishes lineside material * Cycle counts/turns Eligibility Requirements * Must have a high school diploma, GED, or pass a Combined Basic Skills Test * Forklift Training or willingness to be trained * Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record of no more than three moving violations in the past three years * Must be able to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently * Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision * Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions * Safety and quality focused * Willingness to wear required PPE at all times and always work safely. * Be available to work any shift, and be dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts including overtime, as allowed per the union contract Environmental & Working Conditions * Physical effort in lifting and carrying materials and attaching rigging devices. * Manual dexterity in operating control levers and buttons. * Exposed to dirt, fumes, smoke, and heat. * Some climbing into and out of vehicles, crane cabs, etc. * Some outside work possible minor cuts and bruises. Must exercise caution in operation of equipment in confined areas. * Possible exposure to hazardous materials or hazardous waste from leaks or spills of these materials while moving or storing them. #rate Why Join Our Team?
