The Hyperbaric Tech is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems. Also, responsible for the safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the hyperbaric patient. Serves as the facility safety officer in maintaining a safe environment for patients, co-workers and patients with respects to hyperbaric chambers. Completes all required documentation in Healogics EMR. Communicates patient information to the nursing staff and physician in charge of the center. Assists in patient preparation for treatment. Monitors patient condition continually during treatments and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Reinforces education as it relates to hyperbaric therapy. Keeps complete and accurate patient records as they pertain to treatment documentation.
