    Description: SQF Technician Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:00pm The SQF Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the Hamilton Building by preventing product contamination (including biological, chemical and physical) through cleaning, organizing, maintaining and auditing activities that are performed in production areas as required and prescribed in the SQF GMP Audit Sheet, SQF Sanitation Checklist. SQF SWIs and Maintenance GMP as prescribed. This role includes performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting surfaces, emptying and cleaning trash containers, restocking supplies and identifying any repairs needed. This position reports to the Hamilton Maintenance Manager. Essential Functions: • Informs Maintenance Manager of all repairs of maintenance issues and structural problems throughout the facility. • Completes a daily/nightly cleaning checklist to ensure all areas and equipment are ready to meet pre operations goals established by SQF GMP/SWI. • Reports all GMP/SWI/SQF misses following the requirements through continuous daily inspections. • Sanitation Technician will receive and follow QA Training to have a better understanding of the SQF requirements to enable completion of tasks assigned. • Sanitation Technician will receive and follow in all areas of Sanitation Department including the Janitorial areas. • Completing training in chemical usage for janitorial and sanitation tasks. • Janitorial tasks such as cleaning all restrooms, breakroom, main hallways, production floor, warehouse, and areas assigned including outside the facility. • Complete training on Master Sanitation Schedule / GMP Audit Sheet. • Support production and quality team through sanitation efforts and initiatives. • Inform immediate supervisors of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in scheduled items or production on the floor. • Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc. • Attend departmental meetings as required. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Qualifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • 1-2 years of sanitation or food manufacturing experience required. • Familiarity with SQF, HACCP, and GMP programs strongly desired. • Prior Scissor Lift experience is preferred. Physical Demands: • Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. • Incumbent constantly required to walk, stand, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twisting and use of manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time • Must be comfortable operating a Scissor Lift with heights up to 30 feet. • Incumbent regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision • Incumbent is regularly required to carry and lift up to 75lbs. • Work with rotating equipment, hazardous equipment, and safety sensitive equipment. Be on their team. * Gathers and analyzes patient information and prepares for patient testing by: * Collecting, analyzing and integrating patient information in order to identify and meet the patient's specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history). * Utilizing patient information to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician and/or medical director and laboratory protocols. * Completing and verifying documentation. * Explaining pre-testing, testing and post-testing procedures to the patient. * Preparing and calibrating equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and making adjustments if necessary. * Applying electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards. * Performing appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and to make adjustments if necessary. * Performing positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting. * Evaluating sleep study-related equipment to ensure proper function. * Performing routine and complex equipment care and maintenance. * Maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies. * Responding to study participant's procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information. Performs polysomnographic, diagnostic and therapeutic services in accordance with established department policies and procedures by: * Following procedural protocols (such as multiple sleep latency test, maintenance of wakefulness test, parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, and Home Tests etc.) to ensure collection of appropriate data. * Following "lights out" procedures to establish and document baseline values (such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates, etc.). * Performing polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free and make adjustments, if necessary. * Documenting routine observations including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure and significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results. * Implementing appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.) * Following "lights on" procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (repeats the physiological and instrument calibrations and instructs the patient on completing questionnaires, etc.) * Demonstrating the knowledge and skills and necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. * Overseeing and performing difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions. * Complying with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues. Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by: * Completing other job-related duties and projects as assigned. Education and Experience * The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an associate's degree in polysomnography - - or - - successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration at a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a * Sleep Technician. Must be certified (or eligible) as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS). * Candidates who have completed a Respiratory Therapy program, a valid Indiana license, and are registered (or registry eligible) as a Respiratory Therapist will be given consideration. Knowledge & Skills * Requires well-developed knowledge of application and effects of polysomnography techniques and procedures. * Maintains current BLS for Healthcare Providers and professional certifications. * Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary for effective communication with patients, families, technicians and aides. * Requires analytical skills to determine appropriate methods of therapy based upon observation of patient and diagnostic reports and to apply policies and procedures.
