The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk while performing the duties of this job. Additionally, the employee will frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Handling of other heavy items of increased weight may be required; although the use of wheeled carts and assistance is encouraged whenever possible. Cleaning the cafeteria sometimes involves folding and unfolding the cafeteria tables. Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination and the ability to distinguish color. The employee must be able to input information into a computer and read material from a computer monitor as well as printed matter with or without visual aids.

Prepares food for students and staff. Serves food and responsible for cleanup following meal times. Records transactions on computer. Assists in balancing money each day. * Unload food and supplies from the truck and put items away in the appropriate storage units. Handle hot/cold food items properly, maintaining temperatures according to HAACP guidelines.
* Prepare food in a proper manner to assure high-quality products.
* Serve food in proper portions. Follow "offer vs. serve" standards. Hold hot/cold foods at proper temperatures during serving times.
* Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines as directed.
* Follow the directions given by the Manager.
* Data entry on the computer.
* Maintain temperature records and production records.
* Clean dining area and kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, lifting/folding tables, dishwashing, and cleaning serving counters. Remove trash and recyclables during lunch and at the end of the workday.
* Interact with students, faculty, and co-workers in a friendly manner.
* Assist in cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
* Monitoring playground and recess duty.
* Work in all areas of the operation on a rotation basis.
QUALIFICATIONS

This will be a 2 hour position working 10:30am -12:30pm or 11:00am-1:00pm depending on location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Manager.
Unload food and supplies from the truck and put items away in the appropriate storage units. Handle hot/cold food items properly, maintaining temperatures according to HAACP guidelines.
Prepare food in a proper manner to assure high-quality products.
Serve food in proper portions. Follow “offer vs. serve” standards. Hold hot/cold foods at proper temperatures during serving times.
Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines as directed.
Follow the directions given by the Manager.
Data entry on the computer.
Maintain temperature records and production records.
Clean dining area and kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, lifting/folding tables, dishwashing, and cleaning serving counters. Remove trash and recyclables during lunch and at the end of the workday.
Interact with students, faculty, and co-workers in a friendly manner.
Assist in cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
Monitoring playground and recess duty.
Work in all areas of the operation on a rotation basis.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess range of motion and manual dexterity to enable proper completion of job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must wear uniform and hairnet at all times when preparing and serving food and when cleaning food service areas.
Work is performed primarily in a school food service setting. Stress associated with work pace, pressure, and deadlines. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures while standing and/or walking. Must be able to tolerate chemicals in commercial strength detergents and cleaning solutions. Exposed to fumes, noise, odors, and other irritants.
