A cab driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of clients. Paid for the distance and time, a cab driver picks up passengers randomly or through reservations made by a call, stops and restarts the meter accordingly, selects the most convenient route or customers' preference, and uses navigation software. There are instances when a cab driver must assist customers, especially the passengers with disabilities and those carrying heavy materials. Furthermore, a cab driver must follow all road and safety regulations, maintaining the vehicle in excellent and clean condition at all times.
