ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This role supports the technical delivery of solutions to end-customers that bridge Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT), with an emphasis on cloud, edge and enterprise integrations. Your efforts will enable Wind River to implement integrated solutions using cloud platforms in real-world industrial and enterprise environments. You will position and provide support for Wind River's portfolio including eLxr Pro Linux, Studio Operator and other Wind River Edge products as needed. Exposure to OT systems (e.g. SCADA, PLCs, industrial protocols) is a strong plus. You must be capable of understanding the end customers' problems and whiteboarding solutions using our product offerings and services. You should also understand software or infrastructure deployment cycles and be comfortable working in both IT and OT-oriented environments. Some amount of travel will be required.

Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success
Be hands-on in supporting the development and testing of PoCs for OT/IT integrated solutions.
Familiarity with open-source projects such as StarlingX, Kubernetes is a must.
Knowledge of modern enterprise IT infrastructure, private/hybrid cloud platforms, Telco Core/RAN, OSS/BSS and application performance management tools is a strong plus.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This role requires managing the technical requirements of major networking and telecom operators. You will leverage the OpenInfra Foundation's StarlingX project to deliver geographically distributed, high-performance, production-grade Kubernetes-based solutions for managing edge cloud infrastructure. Optimized for the network edge, the solutions you will support address service providers' complex challenges of deploying and managing a physically distributed, cloud-native vRAN infrastructure.
You must have experience in software engineering with a strong focus on networking. You must be capable of understanding the customer's problems and whiteboarding solutions using our product offerings and services. You should also know and have lived through commercial software project development cycles and have a good understanding of project management. Some amount of travel will be required.
Interface & Collaboration
Report directly to Director of Telecom Solutions Engineering. You will be an integral part of the telecom solutions engineering and architects' team you will work with specialized telco Account Managers (AM)/Directors and strive to become the trusted technical advisor to our Telco Operators/CSPs by understanding their business needs and addressing those needs through Wind River's products, services, and solutions. You will collaborate with the telco account team, engineering, product management, and other members of the solutions engineering team.
Responsibilities
* Manage all technical needs of assigned Telecom Operator account utilizing all available resources.
* Serve as a single technical point of contact, and become the customer's trusted advisor and the Wind River solutions expert.
* Listen to customers' needs, then Architect, Develop, and deliver Proof of Concepts, Demos, and Presentations.
* Understand the customer use cases and help develop part of the POC or Demo.
* Exhibit leadership skills during customer requirements analysis and creating technical solutions as well as identifying potential business opportunities.
* Understanding and contributing to relevant open-source standards and community projects is a must. Participation in open-source projects will be based on business needs.
* Provide consistent market feedback to Wind River.
* Remove technical barriers for Wind River solutions.
* Increase Wind River's market share with each customer.
ABOUT YOU
Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success
* Be hands-on in the development of customer proof of concepts (PoCs), extending product features, and testing code.
* Experience in open-source projects such as StarlingX, Kubernetes, O-RAN SC, Nephio, etc… is a benefit. However, the ability and desire to contribute to these projects while representing the company is a must.
* Experience explaining technical concepts to large audience, comfort, and confidence in front of customers.
* Able to work independently in Customer location/Labs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have 12+ years of software development or solutions architecting experience in the following areas:
* Working/functional knowledge of network stacks, switching, routing, etc.
* Strong knowledge of wireless/cellular telecom, and 5G edge deployments.
* Experience in network system-level solution design.
* Expertise in virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, orchestration, OpenStack, and cloud-native technologies.
* Exposure to SDN concepts, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and ETSI-MANO.
* Linux background covering deployment, image build, application, and kernel development.
* Adept at various programming languages: scripting languages like Python, Perl, etc. C++/C are better to have.
* Must have, English language skills, enabling business discussion/dialogue

THE ROLE:
The AMD Datacenter GPU team is seeking an experienced Director Solutions Architect to join our team focused on enabling large clusters for AI & HPC workloads.
THE PERSON:
The candidate will be a technical expert in datacenter infrastructure with deep knowledge of datacenter design, strong knowledge of compute (CPUs/GPUs), networking, and storage solutions, and experience partnering with customers to support RFP development.
