Operating Room Tech Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program (Associate Degree or Certificate required)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an OR Tech or Surgical Technologist
Strong experience in orthopedic surgery and C-section cases required
Proficient in sterile processing and surgical standards
Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
OR Tech Responsibilities
Assist surgeons and the healthcare team in a variety of surgical procedures, including ortho and C-section cases
Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies
Participate in sterile processing and infection control as needed
Support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures
Demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced operating room environment
Document procedures accurately using the Epic charting system
Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency surgical needs
