CIC has been a home for great entrepreneurs leading fast-growing companies since 1999.

Since they started keeping track in 2001, two years after the CIC was founded, CICers have raised more than $1.1 billion in venture capital.
Founded in 2010, what started as a social experiment where like-minded innovators could meet weekly has grown into a global network of sites dedicated to forging relationships within innovation communities.
Prior to joining CIC in 2012, Sarah served as the Director of Programs and Volunteer Services at the Cambridge-based Tutoring Plus, which provides free tutoring services to students in under-served communities.
Since the inception of CIC’s expansion efforts as a two-person task force in 2012, Sarah has built and led the team that designs the strategy, development, and financing of expansion to new markets.
Prior to joining CIC in 2014, Tony worked as the Director of Finance and Controller at several companies in the food, construction and hospitality industries as well as a Senior Audit Manager at KPMG, a big 4 public accounting firm.
So in 2014, the newly-formed SQZ Biotech team entered MassChallenge and beat out more than 1,600 early-stage entrepreneurs from all over the world to win the highest MassChallenge prize of $100,000 and a prize of more than $200,000 from Boeing — all because of a suggestion from a fellow CIC member.
In 2015, he began research on innovation ecosystems through MIT’s system design and management program, and during this time in Cambridge, he supported CIC’s international expansion to Japan.
Chris Linssen joined CIC at the end of 2015 as the Director of Property Management.
In 2016, it launched coworking spaces in Miami and Rotterdam, and is currently in the process of adding more floors to its Boston location.
In 2017 Pam cofounded Asali, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between grassroots organizations and the resources they need to help improve the lives of children.
He co-founded a leasing company and managed 18 Arval countries, and was one of the 4 finalists of the 2017 International Fleet Hall of Fame.
Upon returning to Japan, Masaru worked at a consulting and venture capital firm, focusing on technology-driven innovation, until he rejoined CIC in 2020.
Most recently, Sarah is leading CIC’s efforts to double its shared lab footprint in Philadelphia, which upon opening in summer 2022, will be the largest commercial shared lab facility in the US.
