We are seeking an experienced and strategic Client/Relationship Manager to assist in leading our nationwide residential real estate lending platform. This pivotal role involves identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing complex loan structures across the residential sector. The successful candidate will leverage an extensive network within public and large private homebuilding firms, residential real estate fund managers, and institutional investment firms to drive portfolio growth and optimize returns. This position demands deep market expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of sourcing and managing high-value transactions.

Relationship building - Develop new client relationships through business development activities, leveraging referral sources, existing clients and centers of influence. You have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
15 + years of experience in real estate lending, with a strong focus on the residential sector. Strategic Deal Sourcing & Relationship Management: Cultivate and leverage an established network of C-suite executives and key decision-makers at public/private homebuilders, fund managers, and institutional real estate firms to generate a consistent pipeline of residential investment opportunities nationwide. Proven track record of success in sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex real estate transactions.
Knowledge of real estate private equity fund structures, capital market dynamics, and institutional investor expectations is preferred.
Extensive, established network of industry relationships with key players in public/private homebuilding and residential fund management across the U.S.
Exceptional financial acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex deal structures to diverse audiences.
Ability to travel nationwide to meet with partners, inspect properties, and attend industry conferences.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $190,000 - $210,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The Asset Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans. The responsibilities will include maintaining accurate risk ratings, preparing loan presentations seeking approval for modifications, renewals, and annual reviews, closing loan modifications, collecting reporting, testing covenants, analyzing financials, responding to internal and external examiners, and preparing various monthly and quarterly reporting on assets.

Interacting with cross-vertical CRE Deal Team members after a new loan closes to assure optimal client experience
Ensuring all customer financial reporting / covenants are collected on time and monitored for assigned transactions
Complete analysis and documentation to achieve credit actions (e.g., renewals, waivers, modifications, annual reviews) for assigned portfolio
Function as a resource for GPM Team Lead and/or RGPM in preparation for any portfolio review related meetings and actively communicate knowledge of the risk points within the portfolio
Recommend appropriate risk ratings for assigned credits in collaboration with GPM and/or RGPM
Conduct site visits and work to gain market expertise in locations where the bank has large exposure or growing exposure

Remain active and engaged in periodic client calls and visits as appropriate and agreed to by any combination of the RGPM, GPM, ML, and CM
Provide proper materials and submissions as needed to support the HPA in response to regulators and auditors - internal and external
Ensure that the policy, procedure and reference material which govern loan originations and closings are appropriately followed
Support the RGPM, HAM, GPMs & HPA by supplying any required data for Credit Review or FRB/FDIC/OSFI during exams (i.e., review of specific credits)

The Manager, Metrics and Reporting will play a critical role in supporting the US Technology, Infrastructure and Innovation (TI&I) team by leading the consolidation, analysis, refresh, and continuous improvement of key performance and risk metrics.
