Built in 1945, the Ecola Creek Lodge offers 22 non-smoking rooms, stained glass, spacious lawns, flower gardens, and a lily pond.

Founded in 1945, Cannon Beach Conference Center has grown from humble beginnings to its place as one of the premier Christian retreat and conference centers on the West Coast.
In 1946, the northern part of the building was Joe’s Trading Post, and later became the United StatesPost Office.
In 1963, when Treva & Bruce Haskell bought the building, it housed candy and souvenirs.
In 1964 a tsunami left its mark on a swing set still used by children today.
Governor Oswald West was the first registered guest. It was demolished in 1971 to make way for the Tolovana Inn.
When the Ecola Bible School opened its doors on the CBCC grounds in 1972, Cannon Beach became a year-round facility.
In 1974 the Osburns bought the businesses and turned the north side into Osburn’s Grocery and the south side into an ice cream shop (which is still operating on the site today). Today, the space that was Osburn’s Creamery is now Island Grinds Coffee & Juice Bar.
Carlsen came to Cannon Beach as program director in 1983.
In 1996, he was named executive director.
In 2003, the conference center expanded its ministry vision and capabilities by acquiring the Ecola Creek Lodge.
