The primary purpose of this position is to support the development of ERS and other systems, plan and execute programming tasks, and lead or support implementation of manufacturing improvements with data collection, storage, and analysis.
Essential Functions:
ERS - Development/Support:
Maintain/update client, server, tags programs.
Work with site teams and junior programmer to understand requirements to design and modify new or existing screens.
Create/update database tables/stored procedures/queries. Optimize database performance.
Interface with other systems and teams (e.g., host, SAP, security, process databases, etc.)
Respond, troubleshoot and resolve application failures in a timely fashion.
Migrate stand-alone data collection and reports into the ERS system.
Maintain the access control software.
Other duties assigned.
Other Teams:
This position covers a wide range of modules. You will be expected to work with team members of all levels of management including but not limited to sales, plant management, production planning, human resources, quality, hot-end, cold-end, materials/warehouse/shipping, even operators.
To understand requirements of the many teams, there will be a requirement to understand the individual processes in detail. This will require spending time with department managers, process improvers, and operators to receive basic training in each area.
Time will need to be spent to understand how data flows between systems. One example - will require an understanding how host cutting system collects and sends data.

Department Overview
The System Performance, Reliability and Resiliency Strategy team within the overall Electric Transmission and Distribution Engineering organization is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the resources necessary to successfully execute PG&E's Electric Reliability Strategy and initiatives. This team of forward-thinking individuals will be tasked with deploying technology and infrastructure and influencing the organization to achieve the company's reliability goals. The team is responsible for implementing programs required to modernize the electric grid allowing for safe, resilient and efficient operations. Position Summary
Within the System Performance, Reliability and Resiliency Strategy team, this position reports to the Senior Manager of Reliability Analytics and is responsible for developing advanced data science models and industry-leading anomaly detection techniques to identify potential failures and enhance the reliability of the electric transmission and distribution grid.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing scripts, programs, models, algorithms, and processes using structured and unstructured data from diverse sources and of varying sizes. The goal is to generate defensible, valid, scalable, reproducible, and well-documented machine learning and artificial intelligence models (predictive or optimization) to support problem-solving and strategic decision-making.
The role also involves active participation in internal and external communities of practice in data science, AI, and machine learning to stay current and contribute to advancements in the field. Additionally, the candidate will help educate non-technical stakeholders on the benefits, limitations, and maturity of data science solutions.
In this role, the successful candidate will be uniquely positioned at the forefront of utility industry analytics. Working as part of cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, technologists, and subject matter experts - this individual will lead the development of data science capabilities that could lead to paradigm changes in how the utility operates.

Vast is looking for a Senior Lathe Programmer, reporting to the E-2 Principal Engineer, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Hawthorne facility.
This role will specifically support the Launcher E-2 liquid rocket engine program. Vast has the ambitious goal for E-2 to be the world's highest-performing engine for small launchers, optimized for mass production and low cost. You will be a key team member helping complete the development of our E-2 engine into a reliable, high-performance product.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Programmer to join our team to machine E-2 parts and tools. You will play a crucial role in the development, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of various tools, jigs, and fixtures used in our production processes. Your precision, attention to detail, and ability to work with a variety of materials and machinery will contribute to the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
Proficiency in Mastercam for turning centers.
Design, develop, and manufacture tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, molds, and other equipment required for production, ensuring they meet exacting specifications and tolerances.
Choose appropriate materials for tool construction based on factors such as strength, durability, and compatibility with the manufacturing process.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to accurately create or modify tools.
Inspect finished tools to verify their accuracy, precision, and quality, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing tools to extend their lifespan and ensure continuous production operations.
Work closely with design engineers, production managers, and other team members to ensure tools align with production requirements and goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in tool design and manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Maintain comprehensive records of tool designs, modifications, maintenance procedures, and any troubleshooting activities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
10+ years experience in related machining role, 5+ years CAM with mill turn experience (lathe Y axis.)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with Fanuc controller and Doosan / DNM PUMA turning centers.
Experience turning aerospace materials like Inconel 718, SS304, SS316, AL7075.
Experience fixturing and turning metal additive manufacturing parts.
Strong GD&T skills, and experience creating and reviewing drawings.
Proficiency in operating a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
Meticulous attention to detail and precision in all tasks, ensuring tools meet strict tolerances and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
Ability to adapt to changing manufacturing needs and work in a dynamic environment.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide insights on tool design and manufacturing processes.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols.
Capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks that may require moderate physical effort.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
