Carolina Nurseries company history timeline

1988

1988: Miles Rosedale is named CEO.

1990

He became president of Wight Nurseries in 1990 and a year later put together a management-led buyout of the business.

1995

The Friends of the South document (2:1) was purchased on January 20, 1995.

2000

Processing: J. Stephen Catlett began processing this collection prior to 2000.

2001

2001: Wight Nurseries and Berryhill Nursery merge.

2003

2003: Richard VanLandingham is named CEO.

2004

As the matter came to a vote in a special election held in May 2004, VanLandingham had to deal with a problem of a different sort, one that potentially threatened the very existence of the company.

Since 2004, however, Monrovia has begun the process of transferring most of the work to its largest operation in Visalia.
