Summary & Objective
The Assistant, Activities organizes, implements, and documents activity/recreational therapy programs to increase social interaction, enhance motor, social, and cognitive functioning, build confidence, develop coping skills and integrate skills learned in treatment settings into community settings using a variety of treatment modalities.
Essential Functions
Instructs and leads various activity/recreation programs.
Takes Leadership of evening, weekend and holiday programs at the direction of the Activities Director.
Maintains records regarding activity / recreation programs and participants; prepares reports as needed.
Assists in the formulation of the monthly activity schedule and evaluation of all recreation programs and assists with solicitation required in connection with these programs.
Familiarize new patients and/or residents with the recreational opportunities available. Provides other staff with patients and/or resident's interests and needs.
Transports and assists patient and/or residents to and from activity/recreational programs.
Encourages patients and/or residents participation within programs as needed to involve them to fullest extent.
Visits patients and/or residents on an one to one basis for socialization, reality orientation, sensory and tactile stimulation and to encourage independent activities and provide needed materials such as books, magazines, puzzles, games, etc.
Assists in preparation and serves refreshments for recreation programs, completes monthly food request forms if applicable.
Supervises volunteers and assists in training new volunteers; assists in the evaluation and revision of the volunteer program.
Obtains through personal interview, and/or other means, information regarding each Patient and/or resident's interest including apparent mental and physical capabilities, and the ability to participate in the recreational activity programs.
Records initially and periodically, individual patients and/or resident's interests, involvement, and adjustment to the recreational activities program.
Develops and maintains active treatment plans for patients and/or residents listed on weekly care plan schedules and if prior approval is given for absence, the scheduled work must be completed before the absence.
Confers with attending physicians and maintains individual patient's and/or resident's activities medical approval so as not to conflict with the patient's and/or resident's total care plan.
Confers with the other members of the interdisciplinary patient and/or resident care team regarding patients and/or residents involvement in the recreational activities program and potential psychosocial needs.
Operates equipment for various events, including audio-visual equipment.

Performs responsible supervisory, administrative and clinical activities involving day-to-day supervision of an operating segment of the Radiology department in the delivery of radiological services or performs specialized imaging procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography. There are two (2) types of assignments in this Level of positions.
For Specialized Imaging Assignments, performs typical tasks of Assignment Levels I and II, as listed below, for special procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography in Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Mammography; and performs additional related Assignment Level III tasks described below, as applicable to this type of assignment.
For Supervisory Assignments, in addition to performing duties of lower Assignment Levels at a more difficult and responsible level, performs the duties described below for Assignment Level III.
Examples of Typical Tasks:
Assignment Level I:
1. Prepares radiological area, equipment, contrast materials and supplies, as needed for patients.
2. Prepares patient for x-ray, explains procedures, transfers patient to table, positions patient and assists patient at end of procedures.
3. Follows prescribed techniques to administer general and specific x-rays. Adjusts equipment, determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time, arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient, adjusts lead shield, and selects proper imaging techniques.
4. Develops images in accordance with photographic techniques.
5. Observes patient and machine during procedure and reports unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.
6. Maintains supplies, equipment and required records.
7. Transports and uses mobile x-ray equipment in patient care area as required.
8. Follows all proper radiation, patient, and employee safety protocols; adheres to all appropriate radiation prevention, containment, and control measures.
9. Effectively uses electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and access pertinent patient data and imaging results.
Assignment Level II:
1. Performs procedures on patients whose conditions require specialized expertise.
2. Assists Radiologists, other physicians and allied health care professionals in performing diagnostic or treatment procedures.
3. Performs diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance.
4. Monitors patient and equipment condition during procedure and reports changes to appropriate health care professional.
5. Assists and guides radiographers in the performance of a wide variety of x-ray procedures.
6. Trains and assists radiographers in a wide variety of x-ray procedures.
7. Plans, schedules and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the area to ensure continuous flow of work.
8. Supervises radiographers and ancillary personnel assigned to the area.
9. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure operational viability of the area.
Assignment Level III:
1. Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit.
2. Recommends changes and improvements relating to the delivery of radiological services.
3. Participates in the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel and allied health care professionals. Demonstrates new or revised techniques, procedures and equipment.
4. May perform radiologic procedures, as required.
5. Performs special procedures including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., C.T., M.R.I., and Mammography).
6. Recommends area assignment of personnel to coordinate activities within the department with other activities and services and represents the department in interdepartmental operations and meetings.
7. Participates in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control and maintenance of technical equipment.
8. Participates in and coordinates procurement and storage of supplies and makes recommendations regarding supply and equipment needs.
9. Performs research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of service.
10. May be assigned duties and responsibilities of immediate Supervisor in their absence on a temporary basis.
Assignment Level III
1. For Supervisory Assignments: a valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH; and two (2) years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with Assignment Levels I and II, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
2. For Specialized Imaging Assignments: a valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH; and possession of a current advanced- level certification for the performance of these procedures.
All Radiologic Technologists in Assignment Levels II and III shall receive a differential of $7,500 per annum to be cross-trained on different modalities of radiologic imaging and to be cross-assigned (once trained) to different imaging settings depending on patient volume and staffing needs within a facility.

The position is responsible for providing basic technical patient care skills under the direction and supervision of the licensed healthcare practitioner. This position provides radiographic examinations on all age groups served by the entity within the scope of the Express Care Center or Outpatient department practice. The Radiology Technologist Express Care works in close collaboration with an assigned licensed healthcare practitioner to coordinate the patient flow in a manner which is efficient, professional, quality and safe for patient care. Job requires the employee to provide front desk duties including registration, deployment of legal, ethical and compliance related documents, collections, phlebotomy, EKG, vitals, X-Ray and lab services as well as other duties assigned to safely treat the patients. Supports all regulatory standards, National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Precautions, Infection Control Guidelines, patient and employee safety principles along with HIPAA policies. Communicates clearly with patient directly and over the telephone regarding medications, education, and counseling, per physician/advanced practitioner direction.

Pay Range: $39.45-59.20

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs and/or computer images of designated portions of the body, under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. Use your expertise in X-Ray technology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases. Expand your knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the field.
This is a night shift position working 4 days per week. The weekly schedule will include 3 10-hr shifts (10P-8A) and 1 9.5-hr shift (10P-7:30A). Schedule includes alternate weekends & assigned holidays.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs all required Radiological and Lab duties in accordance with license and performs front desk

Position Summary
Performs computed tomography procedures, reformats the computed tomography data that creates images needed for diagnosis and performed interventional and therapeutic procedures related techniques, producing data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Recognize patient conditions essential for the successful completion of the procedure. Prepare, administer and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws or lawful institutional policy.
Position Responsibilities
Standard Work Duties: CT Technologist
Perform computed tomography procedures as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner. Assist a licensed independent practitioner with interventional computed tomography procedures.
Select appropriate technical factors with consideration given to established protocols and other factors influencing data acquisition.
Manipulating and reconstructing data for interpretation. Archive data as appropriate and documenting patient exposures
Verifies patient identification and the procedure requested or prescribed and that the patient has consented to the procedure. Reviews all available patient medical record information to verify the appropriateness of the procedure requested or prescribed. Assess factors that may negatively affect the procedure.
Assesses patient for renal function prior to contrast media administration. Assess patient risk for allergic reaction to contrast media prior to administration. Determines the appropriate type and dose of contrast media to be administered, based on established protocols
Determines the need for and selects supplies, accessory equipment, shielding, positioning, and immobilization devices.
Provides an accurate explanation and instructions at an appropriate time and at a level the patient and their care providers can understand. Address questions and concerns regarding the procedure.
Uses a power injector for administration of medication when through PICC line catheter or port specifically for power injectors is available following manufacturer guidelines regarding infusion rate and pressure. Use radiation shielding devices. Use technical factors according to equipment specifications to minimize radiation exposure to the patient while maintaining image quality. Confirms patient position matches the selected scanning orientation parameters. Determine optimum placement of electrocardiogram (ECG) electrodes and correctly identifies ECG wave trigger.
Maintains current information on equipment, materials and processes. Perform ongoing quality assurance activities. Perform quality control testing of equipment. When appropriate, wears one or more personal radiation monitoring devices at the location indicated on the personal radiation monitoring device or as indicated by the radiation safety officer or designee. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards as published by the Joint Commission, CMS, ACR and the Florida DOH.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Summary
The Director of Imaging Services has primary responsibility for leading, controlling, planning, organizing, and evaluating the delivery of the operations of multiple campuses. The Director will act as a role model, has accountability for each departmental budget and position control. The director will collaborate with key departments to meet organizational and departmental goals. Works directly with multiple campus dyads and system director of imaging services to optimize performance including volume, efficiency, quality and safety, and patient experience. Has 24-hour, 7 days a week accountability to their assigned hospital campuses. Assumes other roles and responsibilities as directed by the System Director of Imaging Services.
Requirements
Education:Graduate of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography Program or equivalent. Masters degree in health care administration, MBA or other masters degree in relevant field.
Experience:5+ years of management experience in an acute radiology setting.
Certification:American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registered (CNMT or ARDMS if applicable).
License:DOH State of Florida General Radiographer license or professional license/certification for a specific specialty or Profession.
Other:Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel. Excellent analytic, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Proforma Development.
