Team Impact
In this role, you will work with a team of licensed professionals to provide a wide range security service to maintain a safe and secure environment. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
Patrol all hospital buildings and premises according to procedures
Observe and monitor patients who have been diagnosed as a danger to themselves or others, utilizing de-escalation techniques, in order to control these patients
Maintain designated fixed posts in facility for observation and security support
Responsible for ensuring that visitors are scanned through the security metal detector for the safety and security of patients and staff
Respond to all code incidents and be prepared to take emotional and physical control of an individual who is on the verge of or has lost control
Perform courier services per department policy
Maintain all required documentation via computer
Consult with and keep supervisor informed of activities, needs and problems
Respond to all requests for assistance from patients, visitors, and staff
Control parking and traffic flow, enforce parking regulations and occasionally assist in lot control for plowing and maintenance
Education/Experience:
High School Graduate or GED required.
Security experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and policies/procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Project a professional image. Must be friendly, personable and always alert to customer needs.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all individuals in a friendly, positive manner and possibly in adverse situations.

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $21.00 to $30.50 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.

Escorts for visitors, employees, and students upon request.

Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Qualifications
