Our group has developed and optimized various MRI methods for fast imaging of the heart and blood vessels, including coronary artery MR angiography, atherosclerosis imaging, myocardial perfusion and myocardial blood oxygenation evaluation. The fellowship program is supported by more than 20 principal investigators and support staff resulting in a robust foundation for training. Program training and success of graduates Trainees will select one principal investigator as mentor and will then be assigned a complimentary clinical or basic science mentor as part of our team-based mentoring system. Basic course work in statistics, responsible conduct in research, and research methodology is required depending upon previous education. Ongoing research in the principal investigator's laboratory will culminate in submission of a career development award (K award or equivalent) by the end of two years.
