General Responsibilities:
Perform calibration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of gas analyzers and analytical instrumentation in continuous emission monitoring systems. Maintain all logs and required documentation repairs and preventative maintenance. Independently work on assignments that are moderately complex in which experience and knowledge is required to calibrate instruments and resolve problems and follow quality assurance and quality control procedures for the equipment. Work is performed and various locations including oil refineries, chemical plants, power generation facility and industrial work locations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Service Manager and or Site Supervisor, carries out as required:
Performs duties in a safe manner
Identifies, report and/or correct unsafe work environments
Works to logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches, and other written instructions.
Completes preventive, corrective maintenance and scheduled maintenance; and improves operation of systems, instruments, controls, and metering and electrical equipment installed in plants and in customer facilities.
Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment in customer facilities.
Trouble shoots and analyzes instrument, control, and metering problems and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies.
Trouble shoots and analyzes system problems and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies.
Maintains records of readings and test results for all assigned equipment.
Maintains records and files of readings and data taken during preventive maintenance.
Experience and Skills Required:
Ideal candidate will have two (2) plus years of experience, traveling to client sites to work with all aspects of a CEM system and will have experience with the operation of various analyzer platforms from common manufacturers such as: ABB, Siemens, Rosemount, Teledyne, Thermo
Experience with continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) or be able to acquire quickly knowledge of CEMS and our other products.
Must have or be able to acquire quickly knowledge of the environmental compliance requirements of 40 CFR Part 75, 40 CFR Part 60, SCAQMD RELCAIM, and various State or Local rules related to CEMS Maintenance and Quality Control and Quality assurance. •Two (2) plus years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and servicing industrial electrical instrumentation and controls, as well as basic mechanical skills.
Must have electrical and mechanical experience
Familiar with and able to use various test equipment such as multi meters, flow meters, and electronic test equipment in order to calibrate and troubleshoot instruments.
Experience reading electrical prints and manuals
Experience with microcomputer and related software
Must have or be able to acquire quickly a good working ability with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with subordinates, peers, managers, customers and vendors.
Thorough knowledge, skill and hands-on trouble-shooting and repair experience relating to instrumentation used in modern power stations, refineries and industrial work locations.
Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to off-hour call-ins when contacted by phone or by pager.
Able to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, work aloft, and work in the elements.
Willing to work overtime as required, work emergency on call one weekend per month.
Takes rotating, on-call (beeper) on weekends, back shifts, and holidays.
Possess a high degree of initiative and judgment.
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
Possess a valid driver's license insurable by Company's vehicle insurance carrier.
May require some out-of-town, overnight trips.

Position Duties

The City of San José is hiring an Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) Technical Lead (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) to provide technical support for Oracle PBCS which is used to prepare the City's Capital, Operating, and Revenue Budgets. The PBCS Technical Lead will also support the three custom budget applications: Fees and Charges, Ordinance Tracking, and Budget to Finance ERP Interface and the Budget Office (BO). The BO is responsible for developing and managing the City's operating and capital budgets and service fees and charges. This position requires strong technical hands-on experience and leadership skills, as well as the ability to take initiative and lead others. We are seeking an individual who is willing to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and functional background supporting Oracle PBCS and/or Oracle Hyperion Planning, and multi-dimensional databases with strong analytical skills. In addition, development experience using .NET Framework, Java, or JavaScript to effectively manage and support custom-developed applications is essential. Expertise should cover the entire system implementation lifecycle including gathering business requirements, creating functional and technical designs, application development, and administration. Key duties include but are not limited to:
* Collaborating with the Budget Office to understand their Oracle PBCS requirements.
* Translating business requirements into technical solution designs.
* Developing new calculations and performance-tuning existing rules.
* Creating and updating existing Financial Reports and Management reports. Creating Smart View ad-hoc sheets for troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting.
* Applying business expertise in budgeting and planning and functional knowledge in administrating Oracle PBCS.
* Providing recommendations to enhance and accelerate Budget business processes.
* Assisting with configuring data integration, process automation, and interfacing activities.
* Developing materials, documenting technical and functional processes, and providing training to power users.
* Designing, developing, troubleshooting, implementing, and administering the City's Budget applications required to meet the City's planning and reporting needs.
* Ensure the Budget Office applications adhere to IT and the City's Cybersecurity Security policies.

Salary Information: The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst (ESTA) classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
* Salary Range (including the 5% NPWI): $148,118.88-$180,463.92 The ESTA classification is represented by the City Association of Management Personnel (CAMP).
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, AND four (4) years of progressively responsible professional/journey level experience, of which at least two (2) years of experience include lead technical work in development, implementation and maintenance of electronic business systems/solutions, or application development and/or support.
Acceptable Substitution:

Job Description
The City and County of San Francisco's Department of Technology (DT) is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst Engineer to join the SFGIS Program and be the primary analyst specialist assisting the Public Safety Wiring group with their fiber network asset mapping effort. The GIS Analyst Engineer will also play a critical role in supporting other city departments by providing expertise and technical support, including the Sheriff's Department. Primary responsibilities include mapping the City's extensive fiber network using ArcFM and ArcGIS software, as well as assisting the Sheriff's Department and other city departments with GIS-related projects and needs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical proficiency in ArcGIS and ArcFM, along with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and departments. This role will involve working on both routine and complex mapping tasks, including maintaining up-to-date and accurate maps of critical infrastructure, providing geospatial analysis, and offering GIS solutions to enhance the operational efficiency of public safety and other City departments.
Position Responsibilities
Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Analyze, visualize, and provide primary assistance to DT's the Public Safety Wiring group by mapping and maintaining the City's fiber network infrastructure using ArcFM and ArcGIS software.
Serve as liaison to the Public Safety Wiring group, offering expertise in geospatial analysis, map creation, and data visualization.
Assist in maintaining all maps and data produced within the ArcFM framework, keeping information current, accurate, and aligned with citywide GIS standards.
Provide support in the development and implementation of new GIS projects and initiatives to improve operational workflows and decision-making for DT's Public Safety Wiring group.
Conduct spatial analysis and data management, including importing, editing, and updating GIS data to support City infrastructure and public safety objectives.
Train and assist city personnel in the effective use of GIS tools and technologies as needed.
Appointment Type

Qualifications
Education: An associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units [i.e., at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in one of the fields above or a closely-related field].
Experience: One (1) year of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining the components of an enterprise network.
Substitution: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years). One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units/r forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in one of the fields above or a closely related field. OR completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may be substituted for the required degree.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with public safety infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with fiber network infrastructure or telecommunications mapping.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages used for GIS automation or analysis is a plus.
GIS-related certifications, such as Esri Technical Certification or GISP (GIS Professional) certification, are desirable but not required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, data management, and mapping using GIS software such as ArcGIS and ArcFM.
Experience with fiber network mapping or public safety infrastructure mapping.

The ideal candidate for this position possess a degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related degree. Candidates possessing QSTI certifications are preferred. All field testing employees are encouraged to seek QSTI certification.
The goal of the SES QSTI exam and abilities assessment is to determine whether the candidate demonstrates knowledge and the ability to apply source testing methods and fundamental engineering and chemistry principles in a manner consistent with that of a field test team leader. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades, the Electronics Technician performs installation, operation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment, security equipment, intercoms and televisions. Maintains electric shop, keeps records, makes reports, supervises and works with incarcerated person crews. Maintains order and supervises the conduct of persons committed to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Prevents escapes and injury by these persons to themselves or others or to property. Maintains security of working areas and work materials; inspects premises and searches incarcerated persons for contraband such as weapons or illegal drugs.
