This position is as a Geisinger provider in a non-Geisinger facility and requires an experienced advanced practitioner, prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility, family medicine, internal medicine or ICU. The advanced practitioner (AP) provides direct (hands-on) care in skilled nursing facilities with a goal to improve quality and prevent unnecessary re-admissions to the acute care setting.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Nurse Aide at the Gino J. Merli Veterans' Center, your role will be to provide nonprofessional nursing care to the residents. You will have an opportunity to actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and contribute to treatment plans for residents. Your duties will include assisting residents with activities of daily living, distributing meal trays, applying safety devices, and reporting vital signs. You will also be responsible for transporting and escorting residents, as well as collecting specimens such as urine, feces, or sputum. In addition, it will be important to maintain a safe environment in the residents' rooms by addressing any hazards and reporting them to the nursing supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment (8 hours per day/40 hours per week)
Work hours will be determined from the following shifts, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and weekends, with every other weekend off.

3rd Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
