The primary function is to travel with our health care professionals to clinics in area nursing homes and long-term care facilities to ensure that residents are receiving the podiatry care they need.
Arrive before the doctor to get the clinic set up. Check-in with facility, confirm room #'s, location and scrub the schedule actual vs. scheduled residents.

• Takes medication orders from psychiatrist/APRN/PA and phones in to pharmacy if needed. Appropriate documentation, as well as confirmation phone call to client, is expected within 24 hours.
• Prepare medication refill requests within 24 hours of receiving them.
• Verify pharmacy information, last visit, last fill, insurance, pick up or mail etc.
• Prior authorizations should be handled within 24 hours of receiving the request from the pharmacy or insurance company. Document all interactions with patient and pharmacy.
• Update medications and respective information on patient's charts.
• Provide guidance and education to patients on the details of what has been prescribed and when/ where to get the medication;
• Provide information for afterhours call line and information to call if patient has a question. Document this interaction in patient chart.
Requirements:
Education/Training Level:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One-year experience in healthcare, medical staff services preferred.
