As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Clermont, FL. The scheduled hours are Monday - Friday 7a - 4p, some rotating Saturdays 9a-1p.

observing the patient self-administering the medication.
6. The CertifiedNursingAssistant may also provide the following assistance with self-administered medication, as needed by the patient, in accordance with 400.488.F.S.:
a. Prepare necessary items such as juice, water, cups, or spoons to assist the patient in the
self-administration of medication.
b. Open and close the medication container or tear the foil of prepackaged medication
c. Assist the resident/patient in the self-administration process, such as: steadying of the
arm, hand, or other parts of the patient's body to allow the self-administration of
medication
d. Assist to the patient by placing unused doses of solid medication back into the
medication container.
Assisting with tasks associated with elimination:
i. Toileting
ii. Assisting with the use of the bedpan and urinal
iii. Providing catheter care including changing the urinary catheter bag
iv. Collecting specimens
v. Emptying ostomy bags, or changing bags that do not adhere to the skin
7. THE CERTIFIEDNURSINGASSISTANT SHALL NOT PERFORM THE FOLLOWING TASKS
a. Changing of sterile dressings.
b. Irrigating body cavities such as giving enema
c. Irrigating a colostomy or wound
d. Performing a gastric irrigation or enteral feeding

g. Applying heat by any method

WORK ENVIRONMENT
As a Hospital Corpsman, you have the most diverse range of work environments available in the Navy. Your job will likely take you all over the worldand far out of your comfort zone. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.Work location: CenterWell Sand Lake
Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist Role Overview:
Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vitals
Recording & updating patient medical histories in electronic medical records software
Performing routine tests and/or screenings such as mammograms, colorectal screening, and EKGs
Preparing and administering medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections-including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider
Counseling patients on medication and special diets
Wound care and changing dressings
Sterilizing and cleaning equipment and ensuring maintenance of examination rooms
Collaborates closely with physicians and nurses to ensure top level patient care
Highly accurate in collecting phlebotomy samples from senior-aged patients
Phlebotomy
Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.
Follows standard policies and procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required
• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience with blood draws, etc.
• CPR Certified
• High school diploma or equivalent
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
Preferred
• Certified or Registered
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
Medical Assistant Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM
Scheduled 40 hours per week
Local travel may be required; Mileage is reimbursed

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$40,000 - $52,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
