In 1982, the sixth and last chapter of the Missouri Society of CPAs was created in the Northwest region of the state.
1984 The Rushton firm soon expanded to five employees and moved to a new location on South Enota Avenue, near its current location.
By 1984, the Missouri Society of CPAs had grown rapidly to 5,000 members.
Arthur J. Huber, partner of David Flagel, becomes managing partner in 1989.

He became a full partner in 1997.
In 1999, MSCPA appointed its first ever female chair of the board.
Also, in 1999 the first tracking and management of task forces began.
2000 Rushton & Company took a big step in expanding its client base with the merger of the practice with the Walden and Crowe accounting firm.
The year 2000 ushered in the new millennium and substantial changes for the CPA profession in Missouri.
In 2001, the Missouri Society of CPAs was busy working on the passage of the Uniform Accountancy Act, which was the most comprehensive update of accountancy law in almost thirty years.
2002 The management team further expanded with the addition of our third partner, Perry Barnett, who moved his practice from another Gainesville-area accounting firm.
Shockingly, the big five accounting firms became four and the federal government stepped in with public accounting reform legislation that changed the accounting landscape forever—the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002.
Since the establishment in 2003, the company has grown from a locally-based professional services firm to an international partnership with over 80 employees in 7 different countries across the globe.
Lipscomb, Kirkpatrick & Co. merges with Phillips & Miller to become Kirkpatrick, Phillips & Miller; the office at 2003 E. Sunshine Street is expanded & remodeled
In 2004, the profession ended its run with its twice-year, pencil-and-paper CPA exam and launched a new computerized version of the exam that could conveniently be taken six days a week, throughout most of the year.
Also in 2004, the Missouri State Board of Accountancy updated CPE licensure requirements—adding two hours of mandatory ethics education to be taken each year.
In 2006, the Missouri Society of CPAs was one of the first state CPA societies to pass mobility legislation.
By 2013, our staff increased to more than 40 professionals, positioning the firm to become the region’s largest and most successful locally based accounting firm.
2013: The Firm started to provide more professional services, such as Due Diligence, Transactions Support, Financial Consulting and Analytics.
2015: The Firm signed its first contract with a Fortune 500 company to provide valuable accounting and consulting services throughout EMEA, and eventually, other regions.
