In 1989, the agency received its first state contract and became the only agency in Erie County to provide child care resource and referral services to families and child care providers in the area.
Beginning in late 1993, a Board of Directors was recruited, Board Committees were established, and a Board work plan was developed.
In 1995 the Children's Services Network was incorporated.
In 1995, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, which provides reimbursement for healthy meals served to children in child care programs, was subcontracted to the Coalition.
In the summer of 1999, MCSS published the Coordinated Access to Services Model that was developed through the Working/Task Groups.
The Children's Services Network was closed effective June 30, 2000, and the Community Services Coordination Network opened simultaneously.
