Responsibilities
* Compounding pharmacists shall have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
* Nonsterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, otic preparations, and medicated treats. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in nonsterile compounding
* Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met.
* Compounding pharmacists shall supervise pharmacy technicians who assist with the compounding of preparations; packaging and labeling of prescriptions; and prepackaging of bulk medications.
* Compounding pharmacists shall also perform compounding (including weighing and measuring of all chemicals); perform order entry; communicate with internal departments for the purpose of updating prescription orders based on lab abilities, clarification of prescriptions, and perform final check on compounded medications when in the lab, or the prescription orders when working in main validation

We are looking for a Pharmacist who is obsessed with details and is driven by an ability to #makeithappen for our customers and their furry (and scaly!) friends no matter what. You will be an integral part in helping us to ensure our Wisconsin operations run smoothly, and to make Mixlab a 100% dependable resource for our customers and veterinarians alike.
This role is a full-time with the following hours of operation: Monday-Friday: 10 AM -5:30 PM CST. Scheduled shifts may begin earlier or extend later based on the needs of the pharmacy. Responsibilities
Compounding pharmacists shall have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
Nonsterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, otic preparations, and medicated treats. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in nonsterile compounding
Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met.
Compounding pharmacists shall supervise pharmacy technicians who assist with the compounding of preparations; packaging and labeling of prescriptions; and prepackaging of bulk medications.
Compounding pharmacists shall also perform compounding (including weighing and measuring of all chemicals); perform order entry; communicate with internal departments for the purpose of updating prescription orders based on lab abilities, clarification of prescriptions, and perform final check on compounded medications when in the lab, or the prescription orders when working in main validation
Compounding pharmacist shall also monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals; receive new inventory; ensure maintenance of SDS and Certificates of Analysis; oversee annual inventory; and ensure performance of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning using appropriate agents and techniques
Ensure that environmental monitoring and training and competency assessment testing is performed according to policies and procedures.
In partnership with pharmacy Team, ensure the pharmacy meets goals & expectations each day:
Answer workflow and pharmacy questions
Ensure the smooth flow of orders within & between process areas
Guide technicians and pharmacy associates in daily tasks
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold Mixlab values
Ensure effective and timely communications, and own corrective action from feedback given during 1:1 meetings with direct supervisor
Provide guidance and feedback as a subject matter expert to internal teams on processing, compounding, clinical solutions and all internal workflow processes
Enforce robust quality assurance processes amongst technician staff
Perform all Main Pharmacist Tasks as needed including entering prescriptions into compounding software, filling prescriptions and validation prescription orders for correctness as well as selecting correct shipping method and packing order.
About You
You are a licensed pharmacist in WI in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy
You have formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience
You have 2+ years of experience in non-sterile compounding, with preference given to veterinary compounding experience
Your attention to detail is impeccable, and you have incredibly high standards for accuracy and quality
You are collaborative and have a desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment
