Compounding pharmacists shall also perform compounding (including weighing and measuring of all chemicals); perform order entry; communicate with internal departments for the purpose of updating prescription orders based on lab abilities, clarification of prescriptions, and perform final check on compounded medications when in the lab, or the prescription orders when working in main validation Compounding pharmacist shall also monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals; receive new inventory; ensure maintenance of SDS and Certificates of Analysis; oversee annual inventory; and ensure performance of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning using appropriate agents and techniques Ensure that environmental monitoring and training and competency assessment testing is performed according to policies and procedures.
