+ Oversee collective bargaining agreement and relationship, contract interpretation, and contract negotiations, if applicable.
+ Participate in Institute/Division/Hospital leadership councils and committees as appropriate.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree in humanresources, business, or related field
+ 8 years of progressive, related HumanResources experience inclusive of 3 years of management experience and/or experience coaching and mentoring leaders
+ In-depth knowledge of employment and labor laws (EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, NLRA, etc.)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
+ Analytical skills in talent management, workforce planning, and HR strategy, including the ability to analyze and apply data measure performance and outcomes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Master's Degree
+ HumanResources certification (Professional in HumanResources (PHR), Senior Professional in HumanResources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP))

**Physical Requirements:**

**Pay Range**

The Associate Director of HumanResources serves as a senior member of the HR team, providing oversight in areas such as workforce development, employee relations, and HR operations, while helping build an HR department that is proactive and aligned with organizational values. We are seeking a collaborative, strategic, and hands‑on Associate Director of HumanResources to help lead key HR functions and support our expanding organization.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the Director of HR to develop, implement, and refine HR strategies, policies, and initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, engagement, and professional growth
Support Director of HR with employee relations matters, acting as a trusted advisor for problem resolution and maintaining a positive work environment, while remaining in compliance with legal regulations and internal processes.
Provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and progressive disciplinary action.
Collaborate with department leaders to assess staffing needs, workforce trends, and retention opportunities

Maintain employee internal database for Shands employees. Serve as the liaison with the Self-Insurance Trust Office to ensure that the level of coverage for malpractice is secured. Coordinate new employees for pre-employment assessment test. Ensure the required approvals are obtained for the health assessment and bloodborne pathogen training for new employees. Submit online requests for new employee ID badges and send information to the employee. Coordinate the on-boarding process and ensure that new faculty and staff employees hired by UF and Shands are oriented in compliance with departmental and institutional policies. Maintain and update department employee database. Create and maintain all organizational charts for the department. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Entry Level HR Associate (Employee Experience Manager) is primarily responsible for creating "wow" experiences for employees and candidates from recruitment to retirement by providing each person with the information, education and assistance needed throughout their candidacy and employment lifecycle.
