Clinton Community College company history timeline
1990 - Child Development Center dedicated; opens in McKinley Cottage
Under Doctor Sallie V. Moreland, who retired in 1994 after 47 years of stellar service, the school charter was amended to create Clinton Junior College.
In 1995 the college opened the Graphic Arts Technology Center of Iowa, now the CCC Technology Center, on Manufacturing Drive in Clinton, approximately one mile from the main campus.
1997 - Expanded student union and cafeteria open in newly-constructed wing of main building
2000 - First CCC residence hall opens on former Plattsburgh Air Force Base
Institutionally administered financial aid is available to distance learners.Services Distance learners have accessibility to academic advising, bookstore, campus computer network, career placement assistance, e-mail services, library services, tutoring.Contact Prof. It first offered distance learning courses in 2000.
2002 - Second CCC residence hall and dining facility open on former Plattsburgh Air Force Base
2006 - Clinton Community College celebrates 40th anniversary
In 2007, the Adult Basic Education and Community Education programs relocated to a new building, the CCC Learning Center, located at 944 Lincoln Boulevard.
Through a cooperative agreement, the college offers credit and non-credit classes to that community at the CCC Maquoketa Center which opened in the summer of 2009.
2010 - CCC women's soccer team wins national championship
2010 welcomed students to the science addition which houses two state-of-the-art labs plus a larger prep room and faculty offices.
2011 - Centennial celebration of opening of second Hotel Champlain, July 1st
The Library Enhancement Project was completed in 2016, creating a library that better meets the needs of CCC students and the changing needs of the greater Clinton community.
2017 - Last winter commencement held on December 15, 2017
2017 - Newly constructed Institute for Advanced Manufacturing opens to students in fall semester
2018 - Newly renovated Learning Commons opens in the Moore Building
Renovations to the final CCC Lecture Hall were completed in 2018, thanks to grants from the Clinton County Development Association and matches from the CCC B-rrry Scurry.
2019 - Eagle's Nest Food Pantry and Dress for Success Closet opened for student use
In 2020, Doctor Brian Kelly became the new CCC President.
