WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - YWCA Spokane ECEAP is looking for an Early Learning Coach who will provide classroom-focused, evidence-based coaching, professional development, and technical assistance to ECEAP site teams to improve teaching practice, child outcomes, family partnerships, and site compliance with ECEAP Performance Standards. The Coach will work directly in classrooms, model strategies, coach staff using reflective practice, support program-level improvement planning, and coordinate with Early Achievers / QRIS partners. Assisting classrooms in implementing curriculum and assessment practices (e.g., alignment with the Washington Early Learning and Development Guidelines, Teaching Strategies Gold, Creative Curriculum) using classroom observation tools and child data to guide coaching goals. Quality Improvement and Standards Implementation Supporting implementation of the ECEAP Performance Standards across domains (Teaching & Learning, Data & Assessment) and help sites prepare for monitoring and continuous improvement. Working with five ECEAP classrooms to progress through Washington's Early Achievers Quality Rating & Improvement System (providing technical assistance, coaching for QRIS indicators, and documentation). Using child outcome data, CLASS, ERS, and curriculum fidelity tools to guide improvement strategies. Collaboration and Communication Participating in collaborative meetings with site leadership to support program goals and quality improvement. Attending monthly coaching meetings to coordinate with local Early Achievers administrators and community partners. Maintaining collaborative communication with site leadership, contractors, and Early Achievers administrators. Data, Documentation, and Reporting Maintaining accurate coaching records, progress notes, and required documentation in agency systems (e.g., MERIT for Training hours, IMPACT, or local data systems). Using the Coach Educator Community Interface (CECI) to: Completing activities tied to Early Achievers Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). Accessing coaching resources and professional development opportunities. Providing virtual coaching support to staff.

    July 24, 2025 COACHING VACANCY Mead High School Varsity Head Baseball Coach 1.0 FTE Spring 2025-26 To provide knowledge, motivation, and leadership in an activity in which the student can excel to their full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to total education, including physical well-being, moral character, and social and mental development. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF ALL COACHES: Instruct athletes regarding techniques, rules, and safety practices of the sport. Develops and organizes practice programs. Schedule and conduct practices according to agreed-upon schedules. Practice time for each sport is 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Supervise athletes from the scheduled beginning of the practice or game until the last athlete is picked up, knowing where all participants are at all times. Supervise athletes during activities in connection with athletic events, including practices, games, camps, and travel. Promote the entire interscholastic program of the school and direct the program in harmony with the total school program. Set an example of the highest ethical and moral conduct, including respecting and supporting contest officials. Foster among the participants and spectators an appreciation of the values of athletics, an attitude of good sportsmanship, and a sense of pride in self, team, school, and community. Promote a healthy lifestyle to student-athletes. Ensure that all athletes have completed and submitted all required documentation, including the medical insurance coverage form, and have undergone and passed any required medical examinations before the regular practice season begins. Communicate with parents in regard to team rules and athletic department guidelines. Conferences with parents/guardians, as necessary, regarding the athletic performance and/or conduct of their student. Know and understand the student-athlete handbook. Follows state, conference, and district regulations governing the athletic program Adhere to all safety laws and district policies. Complete and submit accident reports for any injury to the school principal or designee. Recognize and adhere to any athlete's health plans. Annually complete the WIAA general rules clinic and the WIAA-approved rule clinic for the sport being coached Hold valid first aid and CPR certifications. ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS IF HEAD COACH: Works with the athletics director in scheduling practices and competitions. Assists the Athletic Director with the selection and evaluation of the assistant coaches. Assigns duties to assistant coach/coaches as necessary Determines, with feedback from the assistant coaches, athlete participation during practices and games, including team level and playing time, in conjunction with the assistant coach at the respective level. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior and provides proper supervision of athletes at all times. Works with AD and Athletic Administrative Assistant to ensure that lists of all players eligible for athletic contests are prepared and maintained under the rules of the Mead School District Athletic Policies and Procedures. Communicates with AD and Building Administration regarding topics related to the athletes and/or sports season. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 19 or older for Assistant Coach and 21 or older for Head Coach per WIAA rules. Must have current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to acquire it by the start of the season. Type II Driver's License, preferred. Understand the activity/sport, its safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Demonstrate a positive attitude toward students and the ability to motivate them toward developing a successful program. Be able to consistently meet schedule responsibilities for practice, coaching preparation, competition, and related activities.
