DESCRIPTION: Perform a variety of tasks related to facility and machine maintenance. Examine CNC, Robotic and other types of production equipment to enhance predictive and preventative maintenance practices, analyze historical failures and implement corrective action. Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines. Plan work relating to installation of new equipment, electrical services, and building maintenance, using equipment drawings, equipment specifications, and wiring diagrams. Conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, constructing, testing, and implementing automation solutions to the production facility. * Provide continuous support to implemented automation solutions and other technical machinery/equipment at a high level. * Involvement in programming automation such as CoBots, AMR's, HMI's, PLC's, and pre-engineered systems. * Assist, and coordinate if needed, outside technical service to analyze, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machines or equipment. * May be required to design and make some replacement parts or to provide a source for procuring the part. * Required to use a variety of electrical testing instruments as well as other types of precision measuring instruments. * Assist the department team leader with maintaining maintenance records, with training new employees, and directing the activities of other department members. * Must use equipment in a proper and safe manner and maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with company policy. * Monitor the use of safety equipment, ensure compliance with company safety policy, and maintain a constant alert for hazardous conditions. * Perform occasional building maintenance such as repairs to overhead doors, roof, drains, lights, plumbing, and other items as needed.
