Comcast's Technology & Product organization designs , develops and supports innovative products and services that bring broadband, wireless, video and voice experiences to residential and business customers throughout the world, with more than 57 million customer relationships across the U.S. and Europe.

The CyberSecurity Incident and Availability Reliability Engineering (CSRE - IDEAL) team serves as the centralized operations function for Comcast's cybersecurity infrastructure, driving operational maturity, resilience, and scalability across both cloud and physical environments. The team leads core reliability engineering initiatives across change, incident, and problem management domains. This includes fostering cross-functional alignment of processes across the organization, and driving measurable improvements in Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Mitigate (MTTM). The team leads the development of a centralized problem management framework, resolves challenges with dual-platform tracking (IOP & JIRA) and dashboard enhancements, enabling greater efficiency and visibility across Security Reliability Engineering operations. It also ensures operational readiness through robust change controls, standardized procedures, and escalation protocols .
The CSRE-IDEAL team supports infrastructure modernization across platforms such as F5, Gigamon, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto, while driving automation to streamline operations and improve response times. Responsibilities span tool onboarding of inventory management, centralized logging, alert monitoring, performance tuning, patching, OS upgrades, and backup/recovery. Emphasis is placed on major project delivery, process standardization, proactive maintenance, and compliance. As CSRE evolves into a centralized authority, the team is shaping a forward-looking vision for 2026+, focused on intelligent automation, AI integration, and governance. Key strategic questions-such as what it means to be âonboardedâ into CSRE and what the program is striving to become-are guiding decisions around tooling and innovation, with a goal to deliver measurable improvements in security reliability and operational efficiency across Comcast.
Role Description

As a Platform Onboarding and Operationalization intern on the CSRE-IDEAL team, you will contribute to the onboarding and operationalization of cybersecurity platforms that support Comcast's infrastructure across cloud and physical environments. This role offers hands-on experience in reliability engineering, automation, and process standardization, with exposure to industry-leading tools such as F5, Gigamon, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.

In your role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations. Trace defects through a cutting-edge service-oriented architecture to find root cause. Develop scripts and utilities to automate data collection from hundreds or thousands of nodes.
How to standardize onboarding across diverse platforms with varying telemetry and alerting capabilities.
Designing automation workflows to reduce manual effort in patching and configuration compliance.
Identifying and resolving gaps in platform visibility and performance monitoring.
Supporting the development of AI-driven operational models for predictive maintenance and incident response.

Our interns partner with teams across EchoStar working to drive our latest game-changing innovation. Our internship is a 10 week, in-person experience that is paid hourly with eligible overtime. Interns are given a business project(s) to complete over the summer and present their results to leadership and their peers. EchoStar provides each intern with a manager to support them with the execution of their project.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
This internship opportunity is ideal for a student seeking practical experience in marketing, specifically in brand management. You will play a supporting role in strengthening our marketing team by assisting with the development, implementation, and execution of marketing campaigns. This program is designed to give you comprehensive experience in the fast-paced world of wireless and technology industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Campaign Support: Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns, including setting up ads and tracking performance metrics.
* Influencers Support: Assist in management Influencers efforts; making sure influencers follow Brand and content guidelines.
* Content Creation: Write copy for social media posts, emails, and other marketing collateral; help create and design digital content.
* Market Research: Assist in conducting research on market trends, customer feedback, to identify new opportunities and inform strategy.
* Industry Analysis: Help in analyzing and reporting news related to the industry and how we can react or adjust based on current plans.
* Reporting and Analysis: Help create and maintain reports on marketing efforts and contribute to evaluating campaign results.
* Presentation Development: Assist in preparing presentations for leadership.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
* GPA 3.3 or above
* Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, a graduate program, or a related field of study
* Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2026
Skills and Qualifications:
* Successful completion of a pre-employment screen including a reference check, criminal background check, and possible drug test.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Strong understanding of current marketing trends and best practices.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing software.
* Fluency in Spanish can be an asset, but not a must.
