SCOPE OF WORK: Performs a broad range of general and routine custodial, grounds, and/or building maintenance duties on the 3rd shift, which may require the operation of maintenance equipment and driving. This position reports to the 3rd Shift Facilities Services Supervisor at Nashua Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, classrooms, labs, hallways, lavatories, including stripping, washing, and waxing floors, vacuuming, emptying wastebaskets, dry mopping, walls, furniture, etc. and performing other custodial duties as required.
Maintains the appropriate use of high quantity of costly chemicals as part of the floor maintenance and general cleaning program and selects the appropriate chemicals based on the task to be performed.
Operates all types of automatic floor scrubbing machines and high-speed floor buffing machines as part of a floor maintenance program.
Maintains the proper use of chemicals such as disinfectants, sanitizers, and cleaning compounds to differentiate in their use in cleaning floors, toilets, etc., as opposed to food preparation and handling areas where improper cleaning methods will contaminate food prep surfaces and equipment.
Performs general grounds maintenance duties to include snow removal and salting of areas as needed, entrance upkeep, and mowing lawns, as well as ensuring outside premises are always maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
Performs general painting assignments and moving/relocation of furniture throughout campus as needed, conducts general repairs as necessary.
Assists in overseeing the safety and security of all buildings, grounds, and equipment, as well as of the students, faculty and staff; reports safety issues and concerns as observed throughout the campus to supervisor and/or Campus Safety Office.
Serves on campus or system committees and teams.
Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency. drivers' license required.
Experience: One (1)year of experience in custodial, grounds, and/or building maintenance, including the operation of cleaning, grounds, or maintenance equipment. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
License/Certification: Possession of a valid driver's license.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of the operation and care of electric sweepers, mop wringers, brushes and other household cleaning equipment. Familiarity with the materials, equipment and methods commonly employed in office cleaning operations. Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions. Ability to make minor repairs to cleaning equipment. Physical strength to withstand manual labor of strenuous work conditions. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.

JOB DUTIES:
Responsibilities of Assistant Coaches at Sacramento State vary by sport and classification. These may include:
• Recruit academically and athletic ally qualified, full-time student-athletes to participate in the program.
• Plan, organize and facilitate the on-going development of practices, competitions and the athletic programming/activities of the program in order to build a cohesive and competitive program.
• Teach and lead student-athletes including a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse, academically selective student population.
• Promote student development activities that include team bonding and study program in support of academic progress and graduation of student-athletes.
• Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, in accordance with NCAA, Conferences, and California State University, Sacramento rules and regulations.
• Work schedule will include evenings and weekends.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited institution of higher education or TWO (2) or more years of work experience coaching;
1-2+ years' of experience coaching in sport applying to;
Knowledge of NCAA Rules and regulations;
Proven ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff and the community;
Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality;
Knowledge of the respective sports' skills, strategies, and teaching progressions;
Possession of a valid driver's license and a safe driving record at the time of appointment. Before operating a vehicle on state business, the applicant must complete and sign the University's vehicle use agreement;
Ability to work during normal business hours, evenings, and weekends
Demonstrated ability to advance the Athletic Department and University toward diversity and gender equity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years' of experience coaching given sport at the collegiate level;
1+ years' of experience coaching given sport at the Division I level

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities Operations, the Facilities Services Coordinator performs all duties but works independently in performing all procurement services, inventory control, work control functions and minor project coordination for University Housing Services. Direct supervision of facilities student assistants to include recruitment, training and evaluation. Provide directions and oversees setup and break down during University Housing Services major events to laborers.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing, processing, and researching purchase requisitions.
Responsible for interactions with the campus Procurement Services staff in maintenance of requisition and purchase orders.
Verifies, processes, and researches all invoices to be paid.
Schedules and coordinates OSHA required physicals, vaccines and hearing tests for all or partial facilities staff. Keeps current with monthly OSHA requirements and code regulations.
Maintains records of all safety equipment provided to facilities staff for Housing
Primary database administrator for Housing's Total Management Assets (TMA) work order system. Performs day-to-day administration, creates and closes work orders, trouble shoots problems or creates specialized reports, solves problems, maintains data to meet our departmental needs. Responsible for analysis, implementation, and creation of various administrative systems within the TMA program to support organizational needs.
Generates, analyzes, and distributes monthly TMA detailed reports to Director of Facilities and Management Personnel. Creates detailed history and unprocessed work orders for each Housing building.
Back up to the Assistant Director for Facilities Operations to the S2, security access card program. Create, troubleshoot, resolve issues for students or staff. Ability to provide access card history reports to the appropriate staff members for judicial needs.
Maintains inventory of first aid supplies for facilities staff, residence offices, and for UHS staff; restocks as needed. Restocks and orders new supplies each year as needed.
Creates and maintains records and organizes storage areas in each building, in storage pods, and parking garage to ensure all space is being utilized correctly. Works with supervisors to keep the areas clear and organized. Keeps records of department's equipment and their location.
Maintains a count of furniture in storage facilities areas, compiles inventories for DFO, and coordinates the delivery or removal of furniture as needed. Leads teams of movers to complete projects and ensure an accurate count and storage of furniture.
Develop preventive maintenance work orders for Laborers and adjust accordingly based on staffing.
Maintains dept. expense database which includes record keeping of all requisitions, making recommendations to the Database Administrator on adjustment to the expense database in relation to forms, reports, and tables where needed to accurately assist in reconciling with the University expenses.
Responsible for the selection, training, and supervision of student assistant(s)
Responsible for submitting payment requests and staff reimbursements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Thorough knowledge of methods, procedures and practices, English grammar, business writing, punctuation and spelling.
Ability to compose and appropriately format correspondence and reports.
Working knowledge of software applications: word processing, spreadsheet (Excel), database management (Access).

* Some work is performed outdoors, offsite at community venues, with some exposure to weather, heat or cold outside of room temperature, noise and other elements
* Event support will involve a significant amount of standing, kneeling, lifting boxes and equipment, stooping, bending, pushing, and repetitive hand movements for things like usage of a keyboard/standard desktop computer, with or without accommodation.

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
The person selected for hire will be required to complete the following pre-employment requirements:
* Submit to and successfully pass DOJ live scan/fingerprinting. Cost of live-scan services to be borne by candidate.
* Sealed official transcript(s) in envelope from institution or electronic copies emailed directly from institution (for positions with higher education requirement)
* Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment
* Other pre-employment requirements may be required depending on the position (i.e. certifications or licenses; see job posting qualifications section for details).
Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements is mandatory to be eligible for employment. These requirements are in accordance with the San Bernardino Community College District's Administrative Procedures and Board Policies.
