The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for conducting routine and specialized diagnostic tests on blood, body fluids, and other specimens to support accurate and timely patient diagnosis and care. This role requires expertise in performing moderate and high-complexity tests while adhering to strict quality control standards, laboratory protocols, and regulatory guidelines. Medical Lab Technologist PRN, Flexible The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for conducting routine and specialized diagnostic tests on blood, body fluids, and other specimens to support accurate and timely patient diagnosis and care. This role requires expertise in performing moderate and high-complexity tests while adhering to strict quality control standards, laboratory protocols, and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications 0-1 years of experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician required Experience in a clinical or outpatient ophthalmology setting preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, vision testing, and eye care practices. Proficiency in using ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic equipment. Excellent patient-care and communication skills to provide clear instructions and ensure comfort. Strong attention to detail and ability to document patient history and test results accurately. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and ophthalmic documentation systems. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
