Job Summary
The Registered Dietitian represents the key contact with guests to assess nutritional and dietary needs, make recommendations, and work collaboratively with client representatives (especially nursing/medical staff), and with our Dining Services Director and Team Members to deliver those guests' needs to high standards; is the leader in communicating and implementing new clinical systems and programs, both with clients and Dining Services Director, ensuring that all required statutory actions and documentation are consistently delivered; and ensures that nutritional requirements are incorporated into dining services production and operations, and provides overall planning, recommendations, documentation, and control of resident/patient nutritional needs in the facility to within requirements of company standards and policies and statutory requirements.
Essential Functions and Key Tasks
* Evaluates resident nutritional needs and establishes individualized plan of care
* Monitors resident status and takes appropriate actions
* Works collaboratively with dining services department ensuring a smooth seven-day operation
* Creates and maintains documentation
* Maintains client relationships
* Updates and applies professional knowledge
* Sets and communicate objectives, communicate and reinforce high standards in all areas, monitor performance and addresses issues.
* Completion of required departmental audits as indicated by leadership team, which may include clinical documentation review, food safety and sanitation, meal accuracy, and test tray audits.
* Completion as indicated to any corrective action plan as a result of these audits.
* Completion of any directives by corporate support by designated timeframes set forth by those individuals or teams.
Education and Experience
* Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) and/or have licensure/certification
* Serve Safe, Choke Save and Allergen certification preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, successful completion of Dietetic Internship or equivalent. Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Master's degree preferred.
* Must have 2 years of clinical experience in senior living environment
Work Environment
* Scheduling may require 10 day on and 4 day off scheduling this will be determined by support needs and transition of business.
* This position requires extensive travel up to 100%
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Required to reside within commutable distance to major airport.
* Requires work with extreme temperatures/conditions and frequent interaction with heated equipment, grease, refrigeration/freezer and other at-risk conditions.
* Computer knowledge and ability to work with multiple software programs is essential.
* Involves repetitive motion, walking and/or standing for extended periods of time.
* Frequent lifting, pushing, and carrying.
* Requires repetitive wrist motion.

The Registered Dietitian helps to provide a nutritionally sound and cost-efficient food services program that will meet the needs of students while maintaining compliance with all local guidelines as they relate to nutrition regulations. Utilizes technical training and government-mandated nutritional standards on food health to develop healthy menu implementation plans. Will work closely with OpX, culinary, and management teams.
Job Responsibilities
Plan all Child Nutrition menus utilizing a menu planning software in accordance with USDA guidelines and Aramark menu strategy.
Maintains required documentation for USDA, state, local, client guidelines related to meal services (i.e. Nutrient Analysis of menu, CN/PFS labels, USDA Workbooks, etc.)
Coordinating use of USDA Foods/Commodities within menus. Supporting with annual USDA Foods orders.
Supports Food Management Process, oversees purchasing compliance & accuracy to menu, as needed supporting reviewing food orders.
Manages vendor/supplier relationships to ensure accurate stocking, availability, and delivery of food items.
Visits school cafes on a regular basis to assess operations utilizing audit tools (Controlling Food Cost, School Allergen Readiness Plan, Administrative Review Preparedness).
Assists with new employee training in areas such as adhering to food safety standards, menu & recipe compliance, and portioning.
Provide support and assistance to students who require accommodation for dietary needs or food allergies, may include menu development and training of front-line associates.
Support adherence to all client nutrition & wellness policies and contract requirements
Educates clients and consumers, regarding healthy food choices through school training and community outreach.

Qualifications
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, or RDN Eligible within 6 months of hire.
Completed a minimum of a bachelor?s degree and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR): Successful completion of internship program (ACEND), satisfactory score on an exam, plus fulfillment of continuing education requirements).
Maintain applicable additional certifications, registrations, licenses, or credentials
Ability to maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and problem solve with little oversight or direction

Job Summary
We are seeking a Dietitian Specialist to join our Nutrition Team in an Acute Care setting in Charleston, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides /Lead nutrition services in the identified specialty area for a minimum of 70% of workload/responsibilities. Specialty area includes nutrition support. Assesses the nutritional status of patients/ residents through documentation in the medical record
Trains and mentor's patient/resident services staff and interns as applicable
Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs which leads to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes
Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient/resident rights policies
Participates in patient/resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
Qualifications:
Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where required
Two (2) years of experience in area of specialty required
Specialty certification when applicable
Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
