Ensure that all work complies with safety codes, building codes, and project specifications. Repair and maintain masonry structures, including patching, re-pointing, and replacing damaged materials. Work alongside other trades and contractors to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects. Maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order. Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of waste materials properly. Keep track of materials used and report inventory needs to supervisors. Qualifications and Education Requirements Completion of an apprenticeship or journeyman program in bricklaying or masonry. 5+ years of experience as a bricklayer or mason in a construction environment. Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project specifications. Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and laying masonry materials with precision. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in bricklaying. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and on time. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Skills: Certification or additional training in masonry or construction safety (e.g., OSHA).
