Ability to interpret construction documents and possess an understanding of applicable construction codes.
Must be able to make decisions rapidly and under pressure.
Strong proficiency with MS Office and/or other construction software is required.
OSHA 30 certification.
Ability to lead, collaborate and interact effectively with a range of other project participants including architects, engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, and the Client.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills.
In depth understanding of safety protocols and regulations.

In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of project execution - including scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client relations - while providing leadership to internal teams and coordinating efforts among subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and owners.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all phases of heavy civil infrastructure projects, including preconstruction, procurement, execution, and closeout.
Develop and oversee detailed project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and work plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Coordinate and manage engineering, field operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones and performance goals.
Administer prime contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Review and approve progress payments, change orders, and project documentation.
Serve as the primary interface with the client, owner's representatives, and key project stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks related to scope, cost, and schedule.
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and safety audits to ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
Lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate status updates to executive leadership.
Foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and mentor Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, and Superintendents.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
15+ years of progressive experience in leading large-scale heavy civil or infrastructure projects (e.g., bridges, tunnels, highways, rail, water/wastewater, or mass transit).
Experience in tunneling or underground construction is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of self-perform operations, means and methods, and heavy civil construction processes.
Demonstrated success managing projects $500M+ in value and overseeing multiple phases concurrently.
Expertise in contract administration, cost control, risk management, and project scheduling.
Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, or equivalent construction management tools.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with a proven ability to drive results and build effective teams.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety standards, environmental compliance, and quality control practices.
PMP certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
OSHA 30-hour certification strongly preferred.

Job Description:
1. Field Supervision
Oversee all on-site construction activities.
Direct and supervise subcontractors, site supervisors, and trade crews.
Ensure that construction is proceeding according to the schedule and plans.
2. Project Coordination
Coordinate with the project manager, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
Review construction drawings and specifications to identify issues.
Schedule and attend regular coordination meetings.
3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
Conduct toolbox talks and site safety inspections.
Implement safety incident reporting procedures.
4. Quality Assurance
