Place, remove, or maintain underground utilities as directed, including labor-intensive tasks such as carrying materials, jackhammering, shoveling, tamping, and installing pipes, ducts, or cables. Perform trenching, missile boring, hand-hole placement, fiber optic cable installation, and related restoration work. Locate and identify underground wiring and cabling. Conduct job hazard analyses daily or as conditions change. Assist in securing the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public and job site safety. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including protecting public and underground utilities. Perform additional duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES: Knowledge of NESC, OSHA, and applicable state and local codes. Ability to recognize priority issues and escalate them appropriately. Strong attention to detail in maintaining safety and operational procedures. Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions.
