The Stabilizer position is responsible for providing a wide array of culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive, direct clinical services in conjunction with other staff within the Emergency Service Unit teams along with outside community providers. CSI will assist with the day-to-day functioning of all activities related to the Crisis Stabilization Program.
Primary duties include assessing and coordinating the placements of clients, assessments, safety planning, and coordination of ORW support services, and transitional case management of persons stabilizing from a crisis. The position involves mobility throughout the community, working with police, hospitals, other JMHC programs, outside agency's and may require working irregular hours in keeping with the needs of the program. This position on the emergency services team involves working rotating shifts as needed, including evenings weekends and holidays in order to ensure that the clinical needs of the program are being met and to enable the program to operate 24 hours a day, seven days as week, 365 days a year.
The Stabilizer reports directly to the assigned supervisor with overall program supervision provided by the Director. Minimum annual service hours are 1,352.

Position Summary:

To support members obtaining behavioral health care within GHC-SCW staff model and/or members seen in primary care with short-term behavioral health treatment needs, they may provide short term, solution focused therapy and/or consults, intakes, bridging therapy appointments and follow ups to higher risk depression screens. The care provided by this role includes counseling and crisis intervention, short-term case management, consultations, and information and referrals to in-house and community resources. In addition, the BH Triage and Crisis Specialist assists other GHC-SCW providers by acting as a consultant for individuals with complex psychosocial needs. As a part of the BH Triage and Crisis team they will participate in team projects to maintain and, as appropriate, improve efficiency, training, and relationships with departments throughout GHC-SCW. The Triage and Crisis Specialist receives day-to-day guidance, consultation, and administrative supervision, from the Behavioral Health Coordinator for Triage and Crisis.
The Behavioral Health Triage and Crisis Specialist will be part of our Olin BH Triage and Crisis team and provide both virtual and in office treatment per department protocols. Clinical Service Delivery

Conduct comprehensive Substance Use Disorder (SUD) assessments and develop immediate treatment/continuing care plans upon a resident's arrival.
Facilitate SUD treatment groups using designated evidence-based curricula.
Provide weekly one-hour individual SUD counseling sessions.
Develop Relapse Prevention and Continuing Care Plans with clients, updating them weekly.
Treatment Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate individual SUD treatment plans collaboratively with the resident, Program Manager, and Case Managers.
Update treatment/continuing care plans and the ASAM level of care weekly, submitting them to the Clinical Supervisor for signature.
Act as a consultant for substance use related crises.
Work collaboratively with external SUD treatment agencies and manage community referrals.
Schedule urinalysis and breathalyzer testing.
Reporting and Team Collaboration
Prepare weekly client updates on substance use for staffing notes and prepare the substance use section of discharge reports.
Provide weekly updates and reports directly to the Clinical Supervisor.
Participate in scheduled client staffings and team meetings weekly.
Meet with the Medical Director monthly.
Gather assigned evaluation data.
Supervision and Program Support
Supervise the provision of any SUD treatment component delivered by other staff.
Supervise any assigned substance abuse intern or volunteer under the direction of the Program Manager.
Monitor and supervise residents and the facility environment.
Serve as on-call staff and work assigned shifts to meet agency needs.
Participate in all required clinical supervision and training to maintain professional certification.

Education
Advanced Degree: MSW or related advanced degree preferred.
Alternative Consideration: A BA in Social Work, or a related degree, will be considered with demonstrated work experience and knowledge.

· Facilitate groups in the areas of sex offender education/treatment.
· Review referrals, conduct assessments (if none have been provided in the referral documentation), complete the counselor's portion of intakes, monitor and evaluate client participation.
· Maintain appropriate documentation required in relation to group and individual client services in the facility's electronic records system.
· Maintain and update client files, write weekly progress notes and discharge summaries.
· Maintain regular communication with agents and co-workers.
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
· Perform brief individual counseling sessions outside of group focused on helping clients assimilate group skills and concepts.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Licensure as a Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or Psychiatric Nurse with at least two years of experience in the field of sex offender treatment.
· Prior work with clients involved in the criminal-legal system required.
· Residential or treatment center experience preferred.

9. Specialized monitoring/assessment tools such as polygraph, PCL-R, penile plethysmograph, ABEL, pharmacological treatment, etc.
Staff shall have one (1) year from the date of hire to complete the required training. Staff are also required to complete twelve (12) hours of related update training every two (2) years.
Wage per hour: $50 per hour for Treatment Specialist duties performed (following the guidelines outlined on the SOT services menu). There is also a $25 per hour training rate assigned to this position for orientation and training.
