On May 12, 1976, ground-breaking ceremonies for the new Cumberland Regional High School were held at the Upper Deerfield site.
The first Cumberland Regional High School commencement was held on June 21, 1978, for 322 members of the Class of 1978.
Growth in activities has also resulted from the educational partnership with the county’s school districts established in 1989.
In 2005, CCHS opened a renovated and expanded Museum on the second floor of the 21 North Pitt Street building.
In 2015, the CCHS Board of Trustees approved a plan to create a funding program for small history related organizational initiatives and scholarships in Cumberland County.
