Lee Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable CDL-B delivery truck drivers to operate a straight truck to deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customers according to the delivery route schedule as determined by the supervisor. Demonstrate high standards of customer service. Communicate frequently with peers, supervisors, and others. JOB DUTIES: Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices Deliver pre-ordered or unscheduled (special orders) products to customers (schools, grocery stores, nursing homes, etc.) according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations (e.g., put deliveries inside coolers and walk-ins) in a safe and timely manner Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel. Unloading products from delivery truck, merchandising, and properly displaying product on Bonnie racks in a safe and efficient manner. Ensuring proper display of signage, banners, etc. to facilitate sales. Assisting in collecting payments for sales from customers, only as necessary. Safely transporting goods for sale and related equipment, including: (a) safely driving the delivery truck in accordance with all traffic laws; (b) ensuring that the truck is safely and properly loaded, and that goods and equipment are secure; (c) ensuring that the vehicle is always in safe operating order; (d) performing minor maintenance on the delivery truck to ensure safe operation. Ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation rules and regulations as necessary, including: (a) timely, fully, and accurately completing the driver's daily log, (b) timely, fully, and accurately performing vehicle inspections and completing associated paperwork; (c) keeping other Department of Transportation or employer-required records. Supervising any Route Helpers and Driving Helpers in the performance of their duties. Attending Bonnie's annual sales meeting, and other sales meetings as required by corporate or station managers. Drivers are subject to irregular work schedules, temperatures and weather extremes, long trips, short notice for assignment of a trip, tight delivery schedules, and delays in route, and other stresses and fatigue related to driving a large commercial motor vehicle on crowded streets and highways in all kinds of weather.
