Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, has as excellent opportunity for an outpatient neurologist with limited hospital coverage at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located just one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. Join a growing employed practice that is long established in the community. We have dedicated neurohospitalist coverage with telestroke coverage outsourced during non-business hours, a strong IM hospitalist team and critical care group that serves as the primary care team for hospitalized patients. Our Neurology team at Norwalkis part of a comprehensive neurosciences program that spans our larger 7 hospital system andincludes Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and rehabilitation.There is ample opportunity to participate in teaching, research, and clinical trials. Our ideal candidate will be a well-trained, board certified/eligible neurologist looking to join a highly capable team of established and respected neurologists. Subspecialty training is desired but not a prerequisite. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.
Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. Per Diem Trauma/ Acute Care Surgery/ Surgical Critical Care Opening in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City) Danbury Hospital, now part of Northwell Health, is seeking a per diem Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon with fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care to join our busy Level II Trauma Center. We are located in Danbury, Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Danbury Hospital sees over 70,000 visits to our ER annually, and about 900 trauma cases a year. We have an established 24/7 Acute Care Surgery program that includes surgical ICU coverage. Excellent specialty back up is available. This is a teaching program with surgical residents and medical students.
Board certification in general surgery and board certification/eligibility in surgical critical care is required for this position. There is potential for a full-time opportunity in the near future.

To be eligible, evidence of current competence to practice as an APRN, PA, CRNA, or CNM must be provided. CRNA's must have sharp concentration and focus, along with the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions. CRNAs must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with surgeons and the surgical support team, as well as with patients and their families. A calm and reassuring manner is one way to inspire trust in patients, who may be apprehensive about surgery, as well as the surgical team. Anesthetic patient management must be immediate and responsive. Flexibility and adaptability are required.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
A CRNA must be able to demonstrate intellectual-conceptual, integrative and quantitative abilities; skills in observation, communication and motor functions; and mature behavioral and social attributes. Sensory- CRNA must be able to detect and interpret changes in monitoring alarms and equipment. Functional vision, hearing. no impairment of sense of smell and tactile sensation must be adequate. CRNA must be able to observe a patient accurately at a distance and close.Communication-CRNA should be able to speak, hear and observe. CRNA must be able to communicate effectively- includes speech, reading and writing.Motor -CRNA should have sufficient motor function to elicit pertinent information. CRNAs should be able to stand for long periods of time and wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases. CRNAs must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and reach above and below shoulder height. CRNA must be able to negotiate patient care environments and be able to move self/patients between anesthesia locations. Coordination of both gross and fine muscular movements, equilibrium, and functional use of the senses of touch and vision is required. Intellectual-Conceptual, Integrative and Quantitative Abilities-Abilities include measurement, calculation, reasoning, analysis and synthesis. Problem-solving, the critical skill demanded requires all of these intellectual abilities. CRNA should be able to comprehend 3-dimensional relationships and understand the spatial relationships. Behavioral and Social Attributes -CRNA must possess the emotional health required for full utilization of intellectual abilities, the exercise of good judgment, the prompt completion of responsibilities. CRNA must be able to tolerate physically taxing workloads and to function effectively under stress and able to adapt to changing environments, display flexibility and learn to function in the face of uncertainties inherent in the clinical problems of many patients.

* Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
EXPERIENCE
* Clinical working experience as an NP/PA in the specialty/service line is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
* 1. 1. Provides direct patient care A. Admits adult patients to the hospital (both on and off house staff teams) for private primary care physicians, from the out-patient center and when there is no local primary care physician. B. Coordinates care of patients through appropriate collaboration with other physicians (including house staff), nursing staff, case managers and ancillary service providers. H. * 2. Teaches and Role Models A. Provides leadership in the Department of Medicine and the Internal Medicine Residency Program as an expert in in-patient medical practice. B. Directly supervises and teaches medical residents and students who participate in the care of patients on team care. C. Role models excellence in service to patients and primary care physicians and non-internal medicine specialists and medical sub-specialists. D. Provides leadership to the Medical Staff in the use and in-service education of Physician Computerized Order Entry and the Health Information System. E. Qualifications
EDUCATION
* Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
EXPERIENCE
* Clinical working experience as an NP/PA in the specialty/service line is preferred but not required.
* APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS hospital and go through the Medical Staff credentialing process. To be eligible, evidence of current competence to practice as an APRN, PA, CRNA, or CNM must be provided. This includes obtaining appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners during the Medical Staff appointment process.
LICENSURE
* Active NP or PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), or by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certified, when indicated for position profile DEA License.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
M.D./D.O degree, full residency training and Board eligibility/certification in internal medicine/family practice mandatory. Must have attending medical staff privileges at respective YNHHS entity.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years caring for medicine inpatients as resident and/or attending physician.
LICENSURE
Hold a valid Connecticut medical license, Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently.

*Per Diem Trauma/ Acute Care Surgery/ Surgical Critical Care Opening in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)* Danbury Hospital, now part of Northwell Health, is seeking a per diem Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon with fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care to join our busy Level II Trauma Center. We are located in Danbury, Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Danbury Hospital sees over 70,000 visits to our ER annually, and about 900 trauma cases a year. We have an established 24/7 Acute Care Surgery program that includes surgical ICU coverage. Excellent specialty back up is available. This is a teaching program with surgical residents and medical students.
Board certification in general surgery and board certification/eligibility in surgical critical care is required for this position. There is potential for a full-time opportunity in the near future.
