Surgical Set Processing Function: Efficiently and accurately assembles and packages instruments and supplies in preparation and packaging area of CSS according to priority needs and daily assignment as measured by Lead Technician, daily worksheets and Lead Technician end of shift rounds. * 6.1 Utilizes inventory and assignment information and interprets needs for single instruments, according to processing need. * 7. Decontamination Function: Demonstrates ability to manage and perform decontamination process to prevent transference of organisms to the sterile area of CSS as observed by the Lead Technician and Tech II staff and as measured by end of shift inspections * 7.1 Rinses all grossly soiled instrumentation with tap water or pre-soaks in sink depending on conditions * 8. Production Standards: Adheres to established department production standards for instrumentation case care production, decontamination, sterilization, and preparation and packaging area as measured by Lead Technician, worksheet, end of shift inspection and customer feedback * 8.1 Produces kits by priority at a consistent production rate that meets or exceeds the department standard Qualifications EDUCATION High school graduate or equivalent. EXPERIENCE Requires six (6) months of experience employed as a central service technician in a health care facility prior to January 1, 2016, or a certified registered central service technician credential administered by IAHCSMM or a certified sterile processing and distribution technician credential administered by CBSPD. Must be competent and physically able to perform all duties in CSS independently (Decontam, Assembly, Sterilization and Distribution). No current written disciplinary actions. Meet or exceed production standards. Under the supervision of the Interventional Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Chief Technologist, performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality IR images as requested for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist. Performs a wide variety of technical duties to ensure proper performance of imaging procedures utilizing angiography and other equipment. * 1.1 Properly sets up angiographic equipment so it is ready to function prior to the exam, including selecting correct accession number from the modality work list. * 2. Produces high quality images during and after procedures to ensure proper anatomy is recorded for physicians to make a diagnosis. * 2.1 Verifies physician orders on requisitions prior to proceeding 100% of the time * 3. Ensures that all supplies required for individual procedures are available prior to and during exams in order to maximize patient safety and service efficiently. * 3.1 Supplies physicians with all disposable or other equipment to perform procedures. * 4. Performs various clerical and record keeping functions utilizing the HIS, RIS, PACS, and procedure QA modules in order to maintain integrity and completeness of the patient record and billing. * 4.1 Ensures all cases are properly scheduled, started and completed in the RIS in a timely manner. * 5. Qualifications EDUCATION Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program. AS degree required,BS degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry level standards of routine Interventional imaging techniques and /or experience in complex diagnostic studies. Minimum of 9 months experience as a Radiologic Technologist required. Hospital Experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred. OR imaging experience preferred. LICENSURE RT(R) certification by the American Registry of, Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), (may not be on any type of probation). Vascular Interventional (VI) credentials preferred. To meet the staffing needs of the department, as necessary, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the YNHH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location. Performs quality and efficient mammographic examinations, utilizing appropriate age specific standards, to provide a source for interpretation by radiologists and viewing by referring physicians. * 1.1 Identifies correct patient and requested examination 100% of the time as observed by supervisors and interpreting radiologists. * 2.
