Job Description - Lead Linux and Data Administrator
Senior Systems Engineer who will work with an established global engineering support team and key stakeholders to define, implement and maintain a Linux centric engineering environment, data access, and network attached storage. This person will mentor and guide junior team members and operations team delivery elements. This person will also play a pivotal role in overseeing projects, helping to deploy, and leverage the latest technologies to modernize and optimize a custom Engineering environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the implementation, management, and compliance/security elements of network attached storage elements on-prem and in cloud for a global hardware and software engineering environment
Be a primary partner between Engineering IT, Engineering Enablement, and engineering business units, defining, designing and implementing standards for engineers within Analog Devices.
Oversee project/platform delivery and business continuity of data storage/access, systems and tools.
Drive a technical product delivery team responsible for identity access management and NAS solutions - Network Appliance, OnTap, Dirsrv, Kerberos, Redhat Products, AWS Cloud
Automate and develop using Python, scripting languages, Dev-Ops Workflows, Lamda Functions and AI/ML

Required skills and experience

The Senior DevOps Database Developer / Administrator is primarily responsible for ensuring the availability and optimization of our production, development, and QA database infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud environments. Oracle GoldenGate Database Administrator
Database administrator job in Framingham, MA
* 8 years of experience in Oracle Database and GoldenGate Administration. * In-depth knowledge of Oracle versions 12c, 19c, and 21c. * Design and implement Oracle GoldenGate architectures for real-time data replication and migration. * Configure and maintain Oracle GoldenGate for homogeneous and heterogeneous environments (Oracle-to-Oracle, Oracle-to-MySQL, Oracle-to-Big Data, etc.).
* Strong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
* Perform GoldenGate installations, upgrades, and patching across various platforms (Linux, UNIX, Windows).
* Set up bidirectional and unidirectional replication for high-availability environments.
* Monitor and troubleshoot GoldenGate processes (Extract, Pump, Replicate).
* Tune GoldenGate performance to ensure high throughput and low latency.
* Expertise in troubleshooting GoldenGate replication lag, process failures, and conflict resolution.
* Good communication skills with both technical and management teams
Good-to-Have:
* Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Autonomous Databases.
* Experience with Oracle RAC / ADG (Active Dataguard) or other replication tools.
* Knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL, and MongoDB administration.
* Experience in database security auditing and compliance.
* Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or other IaC tools for database deployment automation.
* Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) in relation to databases.
* Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM) are a strong plus.
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures.
Expectations from the Role:
* The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases across various versions (including Oracle 12c/19c/21c).
* The candidate should have experience Design and implement Oracle GoldenGate architectures for real-time data replication and migration.
* Perform periodic maintenance / patching as required
* Monitor and troubleshoot GoldenGate processes.
* Work with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard integration in GoldenGate environments.
* Define and implement best practices and automation initiatives.
* Lead database migration projects (on-prem to cloud / version upgrades).
