Create, configure, monitor, and maintain databases in a large, highly available, distributed, enterprise production database systems.
Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
Maintain database performance; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.

They will consider overall project design including cost, schedule, and social issues that may be associated with a project.
