Delta Technical College company history timeline

1995

Midwest Technical Institute, Delta Tech's sister school, was founded in 1995 in Lincoln, Illinois.

2001

LDCC held its inaugural semester of classes in Fall 2001 with Doctor Lynn Kreider as Chancellor.

Since it began offering classes in 2001, Louisiana Delta Community College has consistently ranked among the best in the nation in student satisfaction.

2002

Doctor Raúl Rodríguez joined Delta College in fall 2002 as the next Superintendent/President.

2004

On August 18, 2004, Delta Tech opened its doors.

Under Doctor Rodríguez, a $250 million bond initiative was passed by the voters in 2004.

2009

So in March 2009, Delta Tech moved its main office from its original location in South Haven, to where it resides currently in Horn Lake.

Also in 2009, the College opened the South Campus at Mountain House to serve students in the southern portion of the District.

2010

July 2010 witnessed the first consolidation Louisiana Delta Community College would see.

In 2010, the College reopened the newly renovated Goleman Library, a state-of-the-art learning resources center.

Fall 2010 students began classes in a place that is technology driven and their needs at the heart of the operation.

The year 2010 marks a growth spurt and expansion for the college.

2011

Doctor Marsee began serving the College on May 1, 2011.

2018

By this time the Farmerville campus was closed but would later reopen as a Workforce site in 2018.
