The Flexographic Press Operator in Batavia, OH, is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Responsibilities:
Our Printing Press Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
Completes make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
Operates the press to produce the product in accordance with customer specifications, maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and optimizing press efficiency.
Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
Completes press make-readies efficiently.
Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
Inputs all required information into the GlobeTek system for material usage and time accurately and promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience as a printing press operator and/or training.

Responsibilities:

Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek).
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The Brake Press Operator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the fabrication processes run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare press brake machines by selecting and aligning dies in the machine ram.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production orders to determine required dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
Calculate bend allowances, determine proper tonnage requirements, and select the appropriate press brake machine settings.
Load and unload materials into the press brake machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
Position and secure workpieces onto the machine bed using clamps, bolts, or other fixtures.
Knowledge of using manual tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
Experience with Cincinnati press brakes or Steelwell machines is ideal. ( Mechanical OR Hydraulic )
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a press brake, rolls, or other fabrication equipment.
Knowledge of the fabrication process.
Strong proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong mathematical skills and the ability to calculate dimensions, angles, and tolerances (Algebra 1 level).
Familiarity with various press brake machine controls and settings.
Ability to set up and operate press brake machines independently.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.

This is a 2nd shift position with hours Monday - Thursday 230pm - 1am. It will require a minimum of two weeks training on 1st shift hours, Monday - Friday, 6am - 230pm.

The Sanding and Robot Operator - 3rd Shift position sets up, operates and maintains multiple robotic sanding cells as trained and instructed to meet or exceed defined production targets.

Operates multiple robotic sanding cells with the loading and unloading of helmets to maximize robot time sanding while also ensuring quality.

To perform the following duties in the Steel Operations Department: form steel parts for basement door header, door leaves, and side pieces; weld components; hang components onto paint line; pack components. Starting rate $20.00/hour Quarterly Production Incentive Program Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Welder
Move door or leaf onto table. Use pressure table to properly position clips, or hold part in position by hand.
Weld part to secure it, making sure that it is straight and correctly placed, using standard welding practice.
Move completed component to designated space. Move door parts weighing approximately 60# five feet to the table, then four feet to material storage area.
Machine Operator
Perform duties to measure, cut and shear materials for welding and assembly by others.
Move material weighing approximately 50# 20 feet onto the machine which is 3 feet high. Using proper methods, form, punch, cope or saw material as necessary.
Packer
Hang and Pack: Move basement door parts from storage area, then lift them onto the hangers of the conveyer going into the paint booth, keeping up with the speed of the conveyer.
Remove basement doors parts from the paint booth hangers and move them to the packing area, keeping up with the speed of the conveyer. Properly align parts in the wrapper, pick up and insert spacers, attach band to the package, and move finished package onto a pallet.
Move basement door parts weighing up to 60# approximately four feet, and lift them 3 feet high to attach them to the paint booth conveyer. Lift these same parts off of the conveyer and move them 10 feet to the packing area, then move completed package weighing 200#, three feet to a pallet.
Actively participate in "5S" procedures as well as all Continuous Improvement efforts
Perform any and all other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
