Job Summary and Responsibilities AmeriMed Infusion Pharmcy in West Chester, Ohio Now Hiring Fulltime Compounding Pharmacy Technician - $2,500 Sign On Bonus Work Schedule (9:30 AM -6:00 PM) M-F. *****On Call Rotation every 6-8 weekends** At AmeriMed Infusion Pharmacy, we strive to embody our mission of delivering hope and healing to those we serve. Under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist, the Compounding Pharmacy Technician measures and compounds medication, maintains patient records, and performs those duties deemed acceptable by the State Board of Pharmacy. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Certification: Maintains State and National Pharmacy Technician Certification. If not CPhT certified, must obtain an approved national certification to practice in the state working within 12 months of the hire date. Training: Assists with the orientation and training of pharmacy personnel. Billing: Must be able to work with insurance providers and medical providers, including billing insurance providers and performing necessary follow-up. Schedule: (9:30 AM -6:00 PM) M-F. On Call Rotation every 6-8 weekends Equipment & Procedures: Programs or double checks IV pump settings for accuracy prior to delivery. Completes yearly ACHC assessments of compounding standards successfully. Under the supervision of the Pharmacist completes review with referral sources and/or physicians for therapies completing service to obtain discontinuation or continuation orders if allowable by the state. Cleans and calibrates compounding equipment per manufacturer's guidelines and policy and procedures (if applicable). Demonstrates ability to perform sterile compounding per strict USP 797 guidelines and maintains up to date knowledge of USP 797 guidelines. Patient & Service Coordination: Communicates with patients about supply and deliveries of medications. Coordinates continuation or discontinuation of services, processes refill prescriptions, and documents in the patients' records. Utilizes administrative and clinical knowledge to assist Pharmacists in providing medication and other health care products to patients. Assists in the preparation of I.V. medications and supplies for clients and maintains a clean and organized pharmacy. Responsible for executing all processes in the production of compounded sterile preparations, while strictly adhering to USP 797 regulations and departments Standard Operating Procedures. Who we are looking for: A Pharmacist passionate about serving underserved communities A Pharmacist with experience in community or ambulatory pharmacy practice PGY-1 & PGY-2 residencies are equivalent to work experience What We Offer: Compensation: $79.43/hour Shifts may vary between Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm What You'll Do: Provide patient care services as assigned, which include but are not limited to: Drug Utilization Review Patient Counseling Medication Therapy Management Perform Collaborative Drug Therapy Management or other post-diagnostic disease state management, pursuant to a valid agreement Prescribe drug or device, as authorized by statute, according to Drug Therapy Management Protocols Order, interpret, and monitor laboratory tests Receive or transfer of a prescription Provide direct oversight of pharmacy personnel, ensuring work is within the scope of practice and duties of their licensure Ensure the security of the pharmacy area, including the provision of adequate safeguards against theft or diversion of prescription drugs Ensure all records and inventories are maintained in accordance with state and federal laws Ensure new prescriptions, refills, and drug orders are correctly dispensed according to the provider's authorization and YVFWC policies and procedures Maintain active licensure and pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional societies Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must complete a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and have a current Washington State Pharmacist License. A Pharm D Degree and Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills are preferred Drug testing: This position requires testing for controlled substances before employment and will be subject to further testing throughout employment.
