1999

In April 1999, Rosen tapped Jessica Bibliowicz, the daughter of his former boss, to lead NFP. "Bibliowicz gives the firm star power," wrote Theresa Miller for Best's Review.

Predictions of sweeping changes in the financial services industry following the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 had not panned out.

2000

2000: Bibliowicz presses hard to bring firms into network.

2002

NFP's plans for a public offering went forward, but a bid by Citigroup Inc. to underwrite was scuttled by an investigation, in the later half of 2002, by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer over the possible influencing of a research analyst's opinion by Weill.

Bibliowicz held 1.4 percent of the company she had brought from $10.5 million in losses to its first profitable year, 2002.

2003

NFP's property and casualty operations licensed in New York, which contributed less than 5 percent of 2003 revenue, was the focus of the probe.

2004

2004 Consolidation of all employees in new office; Stuart Tauber joins the firm

2011 Alan Meltzer is inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame See Alan's induction video

2013

2013 The new and improved nfp.meltzer.com, and company logo are introduced
