Position Overview
A SchoolPsychologist will work collaboratively with the student support team to assist in supporting the academic and emotional functioning of all students. A SchoolPsychologist works in collaboration with teachers and staff in identifying the academic and behavioral needs of the students in order to provide the interventions necessary to ensure student success in all areas.

Complete comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations in order to identify deficits and strengths in all areas which includes current social-emotional, academic achievement, adaptive, and cognitive functioning assessments
Psycho-educational evaluation report writing that incorporates all current evaluative results, behavioral and classroom observational data, previous evaluative results, teacher summaries of student performance, and academic and behavioral recommendations to facilitate future educational planning and student success
Assist in Crisis Intervention/Prevention practices within each school which includes preventative measures such as mental health screenings for possible social-emotional or behavioral issues and following the network protocol in cases of emergencies (i.e. school violence, deaths, and suicidal ideation)
Attend all student problem-solving meetings in order to identify students at-risk for academic and social-emotional and/or behavioral difficulties; identify area(s) of need for each student (both academically and behaviorally) and assist in creation of an intervention plan for each student; reviews student academic or behavioral data in order to monitor progress
Meet with students regularly to support those who are struggling with social-emotional and/or behavioral issues in order to improve their overall well-being and school functioning by providing mental health supports and practices
Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify areas of need within the classroom and with individual students, provides academic or behavioral recommendations, supports, and strategies, and monitors progress of students
Conduct classroom observations regularly to identify students who are struggling academically or behaviorally in order to provide academic and behavioral supports, recommendations, and strategies to teacher and staff
Provide positive behavioral and classroom management support to teachers and staff by identifying evidenced-based practices and helping to implement these practices in the classroom in an on-going way
Communication
Communicate with parents via in-person meetings, letters, and/or emails in an on-going way in order to discuss student progress and concerns in all areas of academics and social-emotional functioning
Communicate and maintain relationships with outside mental health organizations that assist in fostering healthy student outcomes
Compliance
Maintain a detailed and comprehensive weekly/daily schedule in order to meet all deadlines and responsibilities in an effective and efficient way
Complete all pertinent IEP documentation in a timely manner (i.e. Psychological evaluation report, learning environment screenings, eligibility determination, and assessment summaries)
Maintain accurate records (Maintain an inventory of materials, assessments, and supplies)
Daily progress notes
Weekly documentation of all services delivered
Quarterly report of student achievement (IEP report cards)
Professional Responsibilities
Attend special education domain meetings in order to identify areas of need and review evaluative process for parents and staff (i.e. review cognitive, social-emotional, and academic achievement assessment process)
Attend pertinent district trainings in order to keep up-to-date on current practices, procedures, and policies in regard to student services and specific clinician domains
Continue membership in professional SchoolPsychologist organizations (State SchoolPsychologists Association/National Association of SchoolPsychologists) in order to keep up-to-date on current practices, procedures, and policies in the area of school psychology as well as network with colleagues
Attend all IEP (Initial and 3 year reevaluation) meetings in order to review psychoeducational evaluation results, reports, and recommendations with parents, teachers, and staff as well as determine eligibility for special education resource services
Provide professional development opportunities to teachers and staff on evidence-based practices in social-emotional learning, behavioral and academic supports and interventions

Job Summary:
Reporting to the School Assignment Manager, the School Assignment Specialist will coordinate and facilitate appropriate school location assignments for students with disabilities who, as determined by the IEP team, require either an accessible school building, specially designed instruction, a program with a significantly modified curriculum and/or intensive support due to the student's unique needs and abilities. This is a full-time, exempt position that will be paid for time worked on a salary basis.
The School Assignment Specialist will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the School Assignment Manager to implement, support, and facilitate adherence to OSD School Assignment procedures and to ensure accurate, timely entry of assignment-related data to maintain live, accurate records within systems of use
* Review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans of any student with a school assignment request to determine appropriate placement
* Assist school-based staff (Case Managers, Principals, Network Chiefs) with any requests for assistance and/or troubleshooting any issues regarding current school assignments requiring attention or revision
* Collaborate effectively with departments across CPS regarding School Assignment needs, for example:
* Work closely with the Office Access & Enrollment to process assignments and determinations made through the school placement lottery system
* Work with Student Information Systems (SIS) and Data teams to prepare for activities that require increased support, such as end-of-year processing, beginning-of-year school assignments, and projections regarding school assignments warranting transportation routing
* Work with OSD Partners (SECs) and RSP Managers to troubleshoot any issues and ensure the School Assignment process is seamless
* Regularly access and review reports in CPS Student Services Management (SSM) systems (e.g., Students waiting for School Assignments) as needed to ensure appropriate action is taken and legal requirements regarding school assignments timelines are met
* Maintain weekly and monthly summaries of school assignments and data collected related to timeliness of school assignments; discuss any concerns with the School Assignment Manager and escalate if needed
* Other duties as assigned
In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the School Assignment Specialist must possess the following qualifications:
Education Required:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, required
* Valid teaching license/Professional Educators License issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) with LBSI endorsement, preferred
Experience Required:
* Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience working with or supporting individuals with disabilities in special education or a related field (such as instructional roles, case management or advocacy services), including the following, is required:
* Experience developing and implementing school-based interventions, transition or support plans, and/or conducting related evaluations/assessments of students with disabilities
* Experience coordinating services for individuals with disabilities
* Extensive experience in developing and delivering professional training related to school-to-career initiatives, comprehensive support processes, special education issues, and/or teaching and learning
* Three (3) years of classroom teaching experience, preferred
* Case management experience, and/or direct CPS experience is strongly preferred

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
School psychological services are mandated and described in the School Code of Illinois as well as the state's special education regulations (the 23 Illinois Administrative Code 226). The role and function of the psychologist encompasses four broad areas: Evaluation and Assessment, Direct Service Intervention and Treatment, Consultation and Collaboration with parents and other professionals, and Program Development and related Staff Training. Illinois Administrative Code regulations (226.250b)2b)) require that “school psychological services shall be available, in an appropriate quantity, to all children for whom the district is responsible.”
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None with the exception of on-site supervision of school psychology interns (School Code 14-1.09.1 (viii)).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide counseling and other direct service interventions. This includes “counseling with students, parents and teachers on educational and mental health issues” (School Code 14-1.09.1(iii)) and “performing psychological remedial measures as appropriate to the needs of students, individually or in groups. (IAC226, 250b)2) A)iii)). It also includes “providing crisis intervention within the school setting” (School Code 14-1.09.1(vi)).
Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers and other professionals. This encompasses a broad range of activities that may include: a) “consulting with teachers and other school personnel in relation to behavior management and learning problems” (IAC226.250b)2)v),b) “helping teachers, parents and others involved in the educational process to provide optimum teaching and learning conditions for all students” (School Code 14-1.09.1(viii)),c) “acting as liaisons between public schools and community agencies (School Code 14-1.09.1(iv)),d) consulting with non-school professionals regarding student behavior, learning and social-emotional problems and e) serving as a “mental health expert” by supporting district personnel directly in questions of well-being regarding themselves.
Develop programs and conduct staff training. These activities may include, a) “consulting in program development” (IAC226.250b)2) A)vi)) and “evaluating program effectiveness” (School Code 14-1.09.1(v)), and conducting research on behavior, learning, child and adolescent development, etc., b) “…assist(ing) in the process of developing an educational climate conducive to the optimum development of all children. 1. 2. In coordination with educational teams, conduct observations, screenings, evaluations, and acquire appropriate student-related data to document current levels of performance using appropriate assessments, progress monitoring data, instruments and techniques consistent with an MTSS model. Produce written reports of screening and evaluation results as needed, and present results to team members including parents.
3. Participate in evaluation processes for special education and/or 504 Plans, as appropriate, to determine extent of student progress, educational impact of disabling conditions, continued eligibility, and related needs (e.g., RIOT approach - Review, Interview, Observe, Test; Functional Behavior Assessment/FBA; Behavior Intervention Plan, etc.).
4. Produce written reports of screening and evaluation results and present results to team members including parents. Include all required information in the electronic IEP system.
5. Facilitate the domain process for reevaluations with the educational team when needed, to determine what additional data is to be collected as a part of the evaluation process.
6. Support building administration, the case manager and team in the 504 Process as needed for specific students; interpret private evaluation reports, review records and/or conduct assessments/observations as appropriate.

Evaluation will be in consultation with Lead Psychologist. The SchoolPsychologist will
report to the Lead Psychologist for group meetings to discuss professional growth and
development activities and other professional concerns such as evaluation materials.
JOB GOALS:
The focus of the SchoolPsychologist is to assist the child, parent and teachers with problem areas, which may
interfere with the child's performance and/or adjustment in school. Services will include, but not be limited
to, assessment and identification of children with disabilities, liaison and case management services involving
school, consultation and support to teachers and other school personnel and direct service and intervention.
The SchoolPsychologist will also take a lead in determining program eligibility which may include
psychological evaluation and response to intervention methodologies.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Psychologists will perform evaluations in response to case study referrals. Assessment methods will be
selected by the psychologist, in accordance with the stated referral concerns, as well as State and Federal
laws. The extent and nature of the evaluation will be determined by the circumstances of each case.
Psychologists will be assigned a district from their general assignment and follow that district's school
calendar. School holidays will be taken according to that calendar. It is recommended that psychologists will
average a minimum of three or more evaluations every five work days except when unavailable because of
other required duties. Non assessment duties will be determined by other needs for psychological services
and by the availability of time. The priority non assessment needs will include consultation with child study
and teacher assistance teams and initial needs assessment meetings.
1. Evaluations should normally be processed in chronological order of referral initiation and expiration
dates. Deviation from that order will be permitted to enhance caseload efficiency or to accommodate
identified priorities. Assessment in order of priority:
A. Initial referrals of un-served children.
B. Referrals involving potential due process hearing or litigation.
C. Referrals affecting allocation of funds to districts.
D. Reevaluations related to change of classification or major change of placement.
E. Case study reviews conducted every three years and that are streamlined in nature, meaning
not in nee of a full blown psychological.
2. Psychologists will use current professional practices, as defined and agreed upon in psychologist staff
meetings and approved by administration.
3. The degree and extent of the psychological evaluation will be determined by the psychologist based
upon the findings of the individual needs assessment meeting and the consensus of the team members.

NNM seeks a trained Montessori professional (AMS or AMI certified) with significant classroom and administrative experience to serve as Associate Head of School.
The Associate Head of School reports to the Head of School and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, working closely with other administrators and the Board of Directors. The qualified candidate will oversee the Academic Coaches, STEAM Coordinator, Spanish Coordinator, School Librarian, Director of Learning Support, and Athletic Director.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the 0-14 academic program and curriculum
Support teachers and Academic Coaches in their professional practice
Plan and facilitate faculty meetings and professional development
Serve as a thought partner to the Head of School in implementing strategic goals for the academic program
Set the annual academic calendar and finalize the master schedule in collaboration with the Master Scheduler
Review and update the scope and sequence of the 0-14 academic program
Manage student assessments and analyze instructional focus areas
Track and analyze student assessments to inform instructional priorities
Foster and support a strong professional culture among faculty and staff
Represent the school at regional, state, and national associations
Handle disciplinary matters and conduct investigations as needed
Partner with the Director of Human Resources to create job announcements, screen, and identify candidates for employment
Organize and facilitate a year-long orientation and onboarding program for new faculty and staff members
Oversee the evaluation process for lead teachers and assistant teachers
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Montessori certification (AMS or AMI) with 5+ years of classroom experience
Senior administrative experience at a Montessori school
Proven experience supervising personnel and managing multiple projects and programs
Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion, with training or professional development in these areas
High emotional intelligence and openness to diverse perspectives and experiences
Collaborative work style with a positive outlook and sense of humor
Strong integrity and exemplary work ethic
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment
Proficiency with Google applications and current educational technology
Additional Information
Pay Information: The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 annually based on skills and experience.

Position Overview
A SchoolPsychologist will work collaboratively with the student support team to assist in supporting the academic and emotional functioning of all students. A SchoolPsychologist works in collaboration with teachers and staff in identifying the academic and behavioral needs of the students in order to provide the interventions necessary to ensure student success in all areas.

* Complete comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations in order to identify deficits and strengths in all areas which includes current social-emotional, academic achievement, adaptive, and cognitive functioning assessments
* Psycho-educational evaluation report writing that incorporates all current evaluative results, behavioral and classroom observational data, previous evaluative results, teacher summaries of student performance, and academic and behavioral recommendations to facilitate future educational planning and student success
* Assist in Crisis Intervention/Prevention practices within each school which includes preventative measures such as mental health screenings for possible social-emotional or behavioral issues and following the network protocol in cases of emergencies (i.e. school violence, deaths, and suicidal ideation)
* Attend all student problem-solving meetings in order to identify students at-risk for academic and social-emotional and/or behavioral difficulties; identify area(s) of need for each student (both academically and behaviorally) and assist in creation of an intervention plan for each student; reviews student academic or behavioral data in order to monitor progress
* Meet with students regularly to support those who are struggling with social-emotional and/or behavioral issues in order to improve their overall well-being and school functioning by providing mental health supports and practices
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify areas of need within the classroom and with individual students, provides academic or behavioral recommendations, supports, and strategies, and monitors progress of students
* Conduct classroom observations regularly to identify students who are struggling academically or behaviorally in order to provide academic and behavioral supports, recommendations, and strategies to teacher and staff
* Provide positive behavioral and classroom management support to teachers and staff by identifying evidenced-based practices and helping to implement these practices in the classroom in an on-going way
Communication
* Communicate with parents via in-person meetings, letters, and/or emails in an on-going way in order to discuss student progress and concerns in all areas of academics and social-emotional functioning
* Communicate and maintain relationships with outside mental health organizations that assist in fostering healthy student outcomes
Compliance
* Maintain a detailed and comprehensive weekly/daily schedule in order to meet all deadlines and responsibilities in an effective and efficient way
* Complete all pertinent IEP documentation in a timely manner (i.e. Psychological evaluation report, learning environment screenings, eligibility determination, and assessment summaries)
* Maintain accurate records (Maintain an inventory of materials, assessments, and supplies)
* Daily progress notes
* Weekly documentation of all services delivered
* Quarterly report of student achievement (IEP report cards)
Professional Responsibilities
* Attend special education domain meetings in order to identify areas of need and review evaluative process for parents and staff (i.e. review cognitive, social-emotional, and academic achievement assessment process)
* Attend pertinent district trainings in order to keep up-to-date on current practices, procedures, and policies in regard to student services and specific clinician domains
* Continue membership in professional SchoolPsychologist organizations (State SchoolPsychologists Association/National Association of SchoolPsychologists) in order to keep up-to-date on current practices, procedures, and policies in the area of school psychology as well as network with colleagues
* Attend all IEP (Initial and 3 year reevaluation) meetings in order to review psychoeducational evaluation results, reports, and recommendations with parents, teachers, and staff as well as determine eligibility for special education resource services
* Provide professional development opportunities to teachers and staff on evidence-based practices in social-emotional learning, behavioral and academic supports and interventions
